Rapunzel is having the ultimate bad day. She's been stolen by a witch, may have a ghost for a roommate, and doesn't even have a decent brush for her hair. Prince Benjamin's got it pretty tough, too. His father wants him to be more kingly, his mother wants him to never leave her sight, and his cousin wants to get him into as much trouble as possible (possibly with a troll). Both Rapunzel and Prince Benjamin are trapped - in very different ways. Once their paths cross, well, that's when things get really strange.

Delightfully told in original verse, this charming story takes place in the middle of the forest where a tower stands, a tower with neither stairs nor door and at the top of which lives a lovely young woman with flowing hair. When a handsome prince discovers her trapped there, he tries to rescue young Rapunzel, unaware of the witch who put her in the predicament in the first place.

Rapunzel craves adventure and longs for experiences outside the walls of her kingdom. So when she embarks on an epic journey to save Corona with the people closest to her, she's surprised to discover it's not quite as enjoyable as she thought it would be. Plus, her best friend, Cassandra, grows more and more frustrated whenever they veer away from her itinerary, and Rapunzel's boyfriend, Eugene, feels he's not being taken seriously.

"Rapunzel" is a well-known fairy tale of German origin, recorded by the Brothers Grimm. A lonely couple, who want a child, lived next to a walled garden belonging to an evil witch named Dame Gothel. The wife, experiencing the cravings associated with the arrival of her long-awaited pregnancy, notices a rapunzel plant, growing in the garden and longs for it, desperate to the point of death. One night, her husband breaks into the garden to get some for her. She makes a salad out of it and greedily eats it.
