Ivar the Boneless hunts Hundr, desperate to avenge the death of his son at Hundr's hand.

Originally published in the February-March 1931 issue of Oriental Stories, Red Blades of Black Cathay is an early work of historical fiction by Robert E. Howard. This short story follows the violent exploits of Norman Crusader Godric de Villehard after finding himself in the mysterious Eastern land of Cathay. Robert Ervin Howard, born January 22, 1906, was an American pulp fiction writer best known for his Conan the Barbarian series, as well as being the father of the sword and sorcery fiction subgenre. This is the only known audio rendition of this story.
