Most mercenary units fly flags on two flagpoles at their headquarters: one with their unit’s flag, and other bearing the flag of their current employer. However, the Third Regimental Combat Team—a.k.a. the Eridani Light Horse—leaves one flagpole bare, as a reminder of the death of the Star League, and the other pole flies the Light Horse’s unit and regimental flags at half-mast.

In the cramped quarters of the city of Yenara, humans, orcs, mages, elves and dwarves all jostle for success and survival while understaffed watch wardens struggle to keep the citizens in line. Enter Rem. New to the city, he wakes bruised and hungover in the dungeons of the fifth ward. With no money for bail - and seeing no other way out of his cell - Rem jumps at the chance to join the Watch.

Moose Feather is a story of a young boy named Davey. His family decides to move to an Intentional Community - one where everybody has different responsibilities. In this community, everybody is assigned a Community Name. Davey gets the great name of Moose Feather, except Davey doesn’t think it’s so great. Davey has a hard time becoming part of the community. He has left all his friends behind. He meets a girl named Chipmunk who helps him with his transition. After school is over for the year, all the kids in the community move into a different time and reality - unbeknownst to the adults.
