• "Responding To The Uncomfortableness That You Feel"
    Oct 1 2024

Hi Ladies , welcome back to theperiod.podcast! We actually had to delete the previous version of this episode, clean it up, and upload it again due to some serious glitching that we did not have when we uploaded it the first time . So ,here we are back again and eager for you all to listen! Thank you for your time and your patience . This episode was truly freestyled because I had no idea what I would talk about because the message that I did choose to discuss ,I chose to wait to discuss it at a later time . I decided instead , just to Let God lead me to share the transparency of my heart. I pray that this episode encourages you and that you can find yourself in this conversation! Also, my journal that I discussed tonight can be found on Amazon and in the link on my profile page .The journal is titled " A Better Me'' self - care journal with writing prompts included by Tammy Forrest. I have also copied the links here, https://a.co/d/bWWwhNX and https://tr.ee/e-F4EJEbQQ . Thank you in advance for tuning in, Enjoy!

    Jul 29 2024

Disclaimer for tonight's episode ,we had a bit of technical difficulties, so you may experience a lil bit of glitching just a bit. However , I mentioned before that I always aim to provide excellent content but more importantly authentic content. My content will always be authentic this is why I don't always rerecord if I have minor technical difficulties ❤️Going forward I aim to provide content in the most excellent way, Spotify has recently changed how they do podcasts, they do them under a completely different system and so I'm learning this system. So ,thanks for listening, thanks for subscribing, and thanks for being patient with me as I grow and be better ! Tonight's Episode is titled " The Connection of Our Physical and Mental Health" . Grab your snacks and your blanket ,and let's dive into this discussion ❤️

  • "The Miseducation of Menstruation" episode 1, part 1 of this series
    Aug 1 2023

Hi, ladies welcome to Episode one of theperiod.podcast. This is my very first episode, so it will be more of an introduction of me telling you all how and why I am here, how I got here on this journey. This first episode is just what it is, my first episode, yayyyyyy I'm so excited. However, that means that I am true to this but I am new to this lol. So, this first episode is not perfect, it cuts off at the end because I am not savvy with editing yet and I am still learning so be patient with me. I will have the very next episode pick up at exactly where I left off. I could have done the entire episode over, but I did not want to risk giving you all perfection over authenticity, so here we are, let's go! I want to first of all give you my disclaimer that is I am not a doctor, medical professional, health expert or health guru. I am also not here to offer medical advice. What I am here to do is share my journey of what I have and am experiencing which are heavy and painful periods that are not normal, a recent diagnosis of fibroids, and iron deficiency anemia as a result of fibroids and heavy menstrual cycles. I want to share my journey with you and be transparent in what I have learned and am learning along the way. My mission is to bring more awareness to a topic that is affecting so many women but particularly the women that I am a representation of, black women. My intent is to make aware, educate, inform, and spread reliable and contagious information that will be widespread in its effect, find solutions to our problems, and have our voices be heard. I am also here to learn from the women in my community who will be transparent enough to share with me their journeys as well, what they have learned and experienced. This is a conversation about periods, so let's talk about it. Join me every Last Monday of the month @ 7:00 p.m. Join the conversation!
