• Getting Back on the Road: How It Actually Feels To Start Full-Time Traveling (Again.)
    Nov 9 2024

Welcome to Bed Time Talks, a cozy new segment on The Traveler’s Mindset Podcast.

In this episode, I’m recording from home—my parents’ house, to be exact. It’s been a two-month hiatus from the road, the longest I’ve spent here since I started full-time traveling nearly four years ago. Being back has been this interesting mix of nostalgia, rest, and that inevitable itch to keep exploring. Tomorrow, I’m packing my bags again, and it feels like a new chapter in my journey.

This episode is short, super laid-back, and meant to feel like we’re just chatting on FaceTime, catching up like old friends. (Oh, and PS...I spill a few details on where I’m headed next, which I’m excited for you to hear!)

Hope you enjoy this little update, and I’ll see you soon for Season 2 of The Traveler’s Mindset Podcast.

  • Loving Your Body on the Road: What the Women in the South Pacific Taught me about Self Love and Body Image.
    Oct 23 2024

What if there was a world where negative body image didn’t exists?

In this heartfelt and eye-opening episode of *The Traveler's Mindset*, I dive deep into the powerful lessons I learned about self-love and body image from the women in the South Pacific.

Traveling through the islands, I discovered a culture where body diversity is celebrated and women embrace their natural forms with pride. These experiences forced me to confront the beauty standards ingrained in Western society and reflect on the pressure many of us feel to fit a narrow definition of “beauty.”

Join me as I share personal stories, scientific studies, cultural insights, and thought-provoking discussions about why our relationship with our bodies is so influenced by society, and how we can shift that mindset to embrace self-love, no matter where we are.

Whether you’ve struggled with body image or simply want to be inspired by a new perspective on beauty, this episode will leave you feeling empowered to love yourself exactly as you are.

    Episode Highlights:

    • Why the Western world is so obsessed with "skinny" and how that mindset developed
    • The history behind body trends and the impact of societal expectations on women
    • Why bigger women are looked up to and celebrated in the South Pacific
    • The wisdom and self-acceptance we can bring into our Westernized culture
    • Personal stories from my travels that shifted my perspective on beauty and body image

it's up to us to rethink what it means to love your body.

(ps, this is actually episode 10 lol 🤪)

  • Turning 23 on the Road- A Special Birthday Episode.
    Sep 18 2024

    I can't lie, I love my birthday.

Not because of the cake, presents, or "happy birthday" messages, but because it is a clean slate.

I treat my birthday as a day of pure reflection. It's a time to think about all the things I've done and all the things I wish to do next. It's a day when I step back to look at how far I've come.

My time as a 22-year-old was nothing but extraordinary. I traveled almost 4,000 nautical miles across the South Pacific Ocean, I lived in Indonesia, and Europe. I met the most magical people and accomplished many dreams that I didn't think would happen until years down the line.

But mostly, I learned a WHOLE lot, some great life lessons and some not-so-great, but necessary ones.

So, in this episode, we will be going through 22 things I learned as a full-time traveler who just turned 23.

I hope you guys love it!
