Luke 1 tells the story of how the angel Gabriel visited Mary and told her she would be the mother of the Son of God. Mary was taken to the brink of her understanding, yet she replied, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” Mary had no prior example, only the Word of the Lord. My prayer is that we take God at His word. That we wouldn't question or grapple with the impossibilities of our situation, we would simply respond like Mary.

Thankfulness is not an act of obligation. It is created when we put ourselves in remembrance of the goodness of God in our life. Thankfulness creates an overwhelming good feeling that makes us want to extend a kindness to others. Thankfulness is God's will for our life. It has lasting benefits so let us give thanks unto the Lord, for HE is good!

This week we discuss the benefits of being thankful. We can develop an attitude of thankfulness and offer that to God as we remember His faithfulness.

Someone is waiting on you, they need the gift that God has placed within you. God's grace is sufficient and He will re-route us, but that can be costly. Learn to obey quickly and do the good things He created you for a long time ago.

In John 9 Jesus told us, "We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work." There is a sense of urgency to this command.
