  • Luke 1 tells the story of how the angel Gabriel visited Mary and told her she would be the mother of the Son of God. Mary was taken to the brink of her understanding, yet she replied, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” Mary had no prior example, only the Word of the Lord. My prayer is that we take God at His word. That we wouldn't question or grapple with the impossibilities of our situation, we would simply respond like Mary.
