    Christina's journey as a mother of three has been truly inspiring, and we delve into her personal weight loss journey. She generously shares insights from her practice with clients and discusses her own wellness routines, both for herself and her family.

  • Dr. Katie Peters, DPT - Owner & Founder of BeachMama Wellness

    This week we met with Katie Peters, Owner and Founder of BeachMama Wellness and Her Integrated Wellness in Redondo Beach, CA.

    Dr. Katie graduated physical therapy school in 2013 from Western University of Health Sciences. She started her career in orthopedics, which gave her a solid foundation for pelvic health. In 2018, she pursued pelvic floor therapy and was educated through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation. After having her own 2 kiddos, she began specializing in pregnancy and postpartum.

    In this episode we talk about what it's really like to be a business owner while being a mom of three and how she manages time with her family and her career. We really appreciated Katie's open and honest approach to how she manages her day to day life and the struggles (and successes!) she's encountered as an entrepreneur.

  • Christie Havey Smith - Author, Spiritual Counselor & Entrepreneur

    Today we met with Christie Havey Smith, we were immediately impressed by her calm, inviting presence and extensive background and experience, with a goal to help others.

    She is a mother of three children, an author, and spiritual counselor meeting others at the intersection between spirituality and mental health.  During our conversation, she tells us about her time working in Los Angeles in the film industry and how eventually her body was telling her she needed to move her life in a different direction.  She went back to school and earned a Masters in Theology and Spiritual Direction, as well as a certificate in Mindfulness and Meditation from UC Berkeley and in Holistic and Integrative Wellness from LMU. 

    She is the founder of The Greenhouse, a Yoga and Wellness Studio in Palos Verdes, CA that she opened in 2020  during very uncertain times in well-being.  She currently facilitates a monthly women’s circle at The Greenhouse, where she works to build a strong community of women by listening, sharing and reflecting on each other's stories.

  • Louanne Wallace - VP of Marketing at the LA Clippers

    In this episode we chat with Louanne Wallace, she is a mother of  two young girls under five. She and her husband moved to the US from Canada (missing the 12 month maternity leave her country offers!) seven years ago. In this episode, she discusses the differences between working in both countries, and how she decided to make the decision to move to the US. 

    After a decade of experience working at PepsiCo she took the jump to being the VP of Marketing at the LA Clippers and she is about to kick off another season whilst building a new arena for the Clippers. 

    We discuss how she feels working in a perceived male dominated industry, how to connect with colleagues authentically and how the passion and connection of sports marketing keeps her engaged in her career. Louanne has a strong self care practice and discussed how she weaves her family and career together. We hope you enjoy the show!

    We're so excited to kick off our first episode of 2024 with Ariana - she is a force. A Harvard Medical School graduate, and a former peace corps volunteer, Ari discusses her trajectory from an artist, to a health care volunteer, to becoming a doctor who would later specialize in acute and trauma surgery. She is a mother of two and had her first daughter 6 weeks into her General Surgery Residency at Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center and her second daughter during a research year. Ari's story is fascinating and was a joy for us to record. We hope you enjoy listening!
