  • I'm not a natural speaker | I've persisted through the backlash
    Jan 9 2025

I’ve been heckled, I’ve had audiences shout at me and I’ve had event organisers cut my microphone and ask me to leave. You may not know about the situations I faced when I took my story public for the first time at open mic events back in 2019.

But I believe this is what built me as a speaker. None of this has come naturally.

Here's a link to my first ever open mic - https://youtu.be/hXQvXBqfbhw?si=Jr2-agm_4ui6Cqpl

  • What to do if your child is sexually abused, assaulted or harassed, online or in person.
    Dec 9 2024

Do you know what to do if your child is sexually harassed, assaulted or abused online or in person? And I’m not talking about the logistics of reporting to the police etc.

I’m talking about supporting your child as a mother, a father, a family, but also, how to support yourself as your world comes crashing down and you feel helpless reading police reports and witnessing your child going through trauma.

15 out of 100 girls and 5 out of 100 boys will be offended against by the age of 16 (statistic from the National Crime Agency), so if you’re a parent then you must equip yourselves.

Experts in this field, Nina Vaaranen-Valkonen and Katariina Leivo, have come onto my podcast to help us understand more.

  • How you can you ensure the safety of your child in this crazy world | Important interview
    Nov 18 2024

When you go to work and your child is with someone else, you cannot guarantee their safety 100% - it’s impossible.

And if they’re of an age where they cannot cannot speak yet - let’s say they’re under 3 - the risk is further increased as they cannot communicate with you.

So, as a parent, what can you do here?

I’ve brought on expert Patricia Cardona onto my podcast to explain some of the techniques you can use to ensure that your child is not an easy target.

This is important information for everyone.

Patricia Cardona (Mallorca, Spain) is a warrior and survivor of both intra- and extra-familial child sexual abuse. After more than thirty years of silence, she first spoke out through her poetry at an event in Amsterdam, where audience members called her brave. Since then, she has become an expert in child sexual abuse prevention and an activist. Patricia is a member of the Brave Movement—a global, survivor-centered organization dedicated to ending childhood sexual violence. She also collaborates with RANA (Red de Ayuda a Niños Abusados) and is a certified Steward of Children through Darkness to Light.

Patricia’s advocacy has taken her to Brussels, where she has addressed the European Parliament, urging the passage and strengthening of the COM (2022) 209 regulation to prevent and combat child sexual abuse and stressing the critical need for comprehensive support for survivors. She has also collaborated with Europol on the GRACE (Global Response Against Child Exploitation) project.

She is the author of “Frases que nunca deberías decir frente a un abuso sexual” (Phrases You Should Never Say in the Face of Sexual Abuse), a resource aimed at helping survivors feel understood, encouraging others to break their silence, and guiding allies to create a world where no victim needs bravery to speak out.

Additionally, Patricia developed the L.A.B.O.R. Method, a 5-step program designed to empower parents to prevent up to 95% of potential child sexual abuse situations.

  • What we misunderstand about male on male sexual violence | Interview
    Nov 4 2024

I asked if teenagers were less likely to be sexually assaulted than children, because they’ve developed some physical strength and that makes them less of a target for an offender.

(For example, a 15-year old is very different to a 9-year old)

But Dr. Kennath explained that this has nothing to do with strength or physical presence. It’s about a power dynamic and if someone gets aroused, or gets a thrill out of exploiting someone more vulnerable than them, then that is what they will do - it doesn’t matter what age they are.

Dr Kennath Widanaralalage is a Lecturer in Psychology at King's College London. He researches men's sexual violence and victimisation, focusing on understanding how men disclose, seek help, and engage with support services. His work also examines criminal justice processes in rape and sexual assault investigations.

  • Grooming a child would be easy | Have you ever thought about this before?
    Oct 7 2024

I’ve split the age groups into three categories, 0-5, 5-10, 10-15 and if you’re a parent, you need to be interested in this, because you cannot guarantee your child’s safety 100% as you’re not with them everywhere they go - so your next best option is to understand what they need at each age group to not be exploited for something sexual.

I’ve explained everything on my latest podcast.

This is worth your time. Put some priority on it please.

  • Huw Edwards had 7-year olds on his phone and escaped jail | What is going on?
    Sep 18 2024

Huw Edwards had ‘Category A’ content (acts involving penetration) of a 7-year old on his phone and escaped jail.

What’s going on? Did the judge and the courts actually watch the videos? Probably not.

Because if they did, they would have realised that anyone who is aroused by this content and acts on it, deserves to face the full force of the law - a prison sentence, probation and strict monitoring for the rest of their life.

They are a danger to children when they walk free. And isn’t children’s safety not our priority?

But we have a problem here, because the prisons in this country are already full and we now know that only 2/10 people who are caught with such content go to prison - the rest walk free.

And we haven’t even mentioned the fact that these images and videos are recordings of real children being molested/raped/abused/assaulted. Where are they all?
