    Nov 6 2024
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 67:1
How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts! Psalm 84:1

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 84
While we are here on earth, there will always be a longing in our hearts.
We can try to fill it with success, things, or people, but this longing is for God and is only satisfied by Him. Nothing on this earth can compare to the fullness and glory of entering His courts and dwelling in the glory of His presence.

Tonight, ask God to fill your heart with His presence, the presence of the living God. He is olive in you, constantly working to bless you with a glimpse of heaven within your life here on earth. We have a beautiful and glorious home in which we’ll see Him face-to-face, but until then, we can enter His presence through His Word.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Take a moment to reflect on God’s glory and what it means for your life here on earth. His light shines bright like the sun, dispelling the darkness surrounding you. Imagine His love reaching the depths of your soul and filling it with joy and peace to the brim. Sit in His presence and find satisfaction for your soul in the living God.

CONFESSION: Confess your longing and need for God. Ask for His strength and grace to help you overcome any sin that hinders you from experiencing His glory.

THANKSGIVING: Rejoice in your strength and glory in the Lord. Thank God for pouring out His blessing and favor upon you. Thank Him for His provision and protection.

SUPPLICATION: Father, thank You for the light You shine on my life and the taste of Your glory I carry in my heart. Help me cherish the promise of an eternal future with You and hold on to it no matter what I face. Help me to grow in my walk with You, to remain in Your grace, and to keep my complete trust in You tonight. All praise and glory to You. Amen.

    PRAYER
“May God be merciful to us, bless us, and cause his face to shine on us.”
    PSALM 67:1
Oh Lord my God, let everything that has breath praise You! May everyone know Your grace and power personally. As I sleep tonight, envelop me with Your heavenly light and remind me that everything is in Your control. I confess that sometimes I want to control every detail of my life, forgetting that You alone have the power to tie in everything for my good and Your glory. As I relax my body, I pray my mind will also release control and be freed from anxiety. I declare that You are in control. I want to eliminate my propensity towards anxiety and trust in Your sovereignty. Place Yourself firmly on the throne of my heart and mind as I sleep. I will rest soundly in the shadow of Your power and glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

  • Episode 1152 - Jarvis Kingston Thank God for the ways in which He's protected and delivered you through a difficult time. 2024 Election Day
    Nov 5 2024
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 66:5
Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God. Psalm 83:3

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 83
Tonight's psalmist understood the common temptation to want to fight back against those who conspire against us and inspires us to be honest about our struggles and temptations with wanting to solve our problems on our own instead of giving them to the Lord. Even though we're supposed to pray for our enemies, it's hard not to want to fight back if for no other reason than to satisfy our own need to act.

But when foes rise against us, we can rest assured that God is with us to help us fight our battles, and His ways are always best. We can find comfort knowing we never have to face adversity alone and that He is still in control. As you prepare to read tonight's psalm, take a moment to lift any harbored resentment or anger against others to God. Clear your mind of any distractions and focus on hearing His voice through His Word.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Think about how powerful and Almighty God is, taking joy in knowing and serving this Almighty God. Invite His presence to be near to you as you wind down the day. Find comfort in knowing you serve the one, true God who controls all of the earth.

CONFESSION: Think of a tumultuous time when you did not trust God to work for your good. Confess any doubts you have of God's power and any fear of others you are holding on to. Ask Him to help you focus on and turn to Him when you need help.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the ways in which He's protected and delivered you through a difficult time. Thank Him, in advance, for the ways in which He will continue to help you and for the times when He will deliver you in the future.

SUPPLICATION: Lord, You know my heart, and I ask You to move in my life in a mighty way. Rise against those who rise against me, and help me remember that I am secure in Your hands. I trust in You and look to You for peace. I praise Your holy Name. Amen.

    PRAYER
“Come, and see God’s deeds— awesome work on behalf of the children of men.”
    PSALM 66:5
Dear God, tonight as I wind down, I am reminded of the still waters that calm my soul. Your presence calms me like gentle waves against the shore. I thank You for the gift of another day. The challenges and triumphs of today have brought me one step closer to fulfilling Your purpose for my life. And as I close my eyes tonight, I pray that You will attend to the voice of my prayer and hear my deepest desires. Help me to align my will with Yours and to trust that Your plans for me are more extraordinary than anything I can imagine. May I rest knowing that You are the living water that quenches my thirst for meaning and purpose. Thank You, God, for the peace that comes from knowing that You are always with me. May Your love surround me like the waves of the sea, carrying me into a deep and restful sleep. In Jesus’s holy name, I pray, Amen.

    Nov 4 2024
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 65:5

Defend the poor and fatherless do justice to the afflicted and needy. Psalm 82:3

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 82
Focusing on the brokenness in our world can overwhelm our spirits and make our hearts heavy with anger and sadness. In these moments, it's vital to remember that God is sovereign over all the nations and their leaders. Our most important role is to pray for justice and restoration and to love those who have been victimized, leaving the final consequences in His hands.

Tonight, let us receive strength from God's Word to stand up for what is right in His eyes and find rest for our souls as we submit to Him and His ways.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Meditate on the mercy and justice of the Lord and what it means for your life tonight. Picture Him as a righteous judge who perfectly rules over the earth with fairness and equity. He sees every injustice and casts judgment in His righteousness and in His truth. One day there will be accountability for all who defended the unjust and showed partiality to the wicked. Find comfort in the hope of God's redemption of His world and restoration of His justice.

CONFESSION: Think of a time when you committed a wrong and received grace from God instead of consequences you thought would occur. Determine to remember this the next time you are tempted to carry out justice on your own.

THANKSGIVING: Praise God for His mercy and justice, rejoicing in His sovereignty. Thank Him for the times when He has made things right in your life and in our world.

SUPPLICATION: Lord, I see injustice all around me, and l want to help in ways that honor You. Give me wisdom and discernment when making judgment calls in my mind. Help me to remember Your grace in my life and that, in the end, You are the One to act justly over all of humanity. Please unburden my heart now and give me rest tonight, knowing the world is in Your hands. Fill me with Your peace as I turn to You. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.

    PRAYER
“By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea.”
    PSALM 65:5
Dear Lord, as I lay down to rest, I am grateful for the goodness and grace surrounding me. In this peaceful moment, I lift my voice to You, O God of our salvation, with all the gratitude and gladness of a heart that knows Your love. By marvelous deeds, You answer me with righteousness, and in the stillness of this night, I am filled with wonder at the majesty of Your creation. The stars that twinkle above me cast a glow of peace and tranquility, and the soft rustling of the leaves reminds me that I am never truly alone. Even as I close my eyes, I feel Your spirit comforting and keeping me safe. At this moment, I know that I am loved and cherished and that nothing can ever separate me from Your embrace. As I drift off to sleep, I give thanks for the beauty surrounding me and the landscape that speaks of Your glory and power. Keep me safe and secure in Your perfect love. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

    Nov 1 2024
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 31:14
We have thought of thy lovingkindness, O God, In the midst of thy temple. Psalm 48:9

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 48
The whole earth is His, and it blesses Him! As you transition from the day into the evening, may you gain inspiration from the way the earth turns to God in worship, love, and praise. Clear your mind and release your fears, worries, and doubts to God. Lie still and imagine a beautiful city filled with the glory of the Lord, fortified with His strength.

Like this beautiful city, the Lord is within you, protecting and sustain ing you; He is your fortress. Ask Him to inscribe His Word on your heart so that you can carry His truth and love with you into the night. You can rest knowing He is watching over you throughout the night.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
    ADORATION:
Rest in His presence, knowing you are safe and secure in Him. Rejoice in His righteousness. Know His Word will never die, and His love will never fail. Thank Him for who He is.

    CONFESSION:
Think of a time when your complaints and doubt toward God outnumbered your praise. Confess this to Him now and ask Him to continually remind you of who He is and who you are to Him-beloved.

    THANKSGIVING:
Praise the Lord for His strength and power. Praise Him for the times He has protected you and the love He has for you.

    SUPPLICATION:
Father, I look to You now and praise You from deep within my heart; goodness is too great to fathom. Create in me the daily habit of reading Your Word. May I turn to You for guidance, protection, discernment, and truth. Help me to rest in Your perfect peace tonight as I remember and dwell on Your faithfulness to me. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

    PRAYER
“But I trust in you, The Lord. I said, 'You are my God.'”
    PSALM 31:14
Dear Lord, You are my refuge and place of peace. For Your namesake, deliver me! Incline Your ear and answer me speedily. Lord, I feel like a refugee, wandering and aimless in a land of uncertainty. Be my rock and fortress, Lord God, and let me not be put to shame. I want to run this race well and glorify Your name! By Your abundant goodness and glorious grace, grant me ears to hear Your voice and eyes to see Your face. I will wait on You. I will trust You. I will bless You all of my days. Tonight I ask for peace. Comfort me in Your presence and drape me in a blanket of Your love. Envelop me with relief, and restore me so I may praise You in the morning. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

    Oct 31 2024
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 30:5
God reigns over the heathen: God sits upon the throne of His Holiness. Psalm 47:8

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 47
No matter what is happening in our lives or our world, we can always find joy and hope in the power and sovereignty of the Lord. Praising God for who He is rather than for what He does changes our perspective and allows us to experience all the wonderful things God has for us- His joy, hope, and peace.

As you wind down from the day, focus on this truth, acknowledging God is the all-powerful. Rest assured that He controls all the events in your world and all the circumstances in your life. As your King, He cares about your life and works for your good, for you are His, and He is your God.
Now surrender to the almighty King and ask Him to speak to you through tonight’s psalm. Allow the truth of who He is to bring you comfort and hope as you sleep.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
    ADORATION:
Close your eyes and imagine God as the powerful, almighty King sitting on His heavenly throne, where He rules the nations and watches over His people. This same King that has the power to create and destroy nations is the King who knows every detail about you and uses His power to protect you and preserve you. Praise Him for the glorious King He is!

    CONFESSION:
Think of a time when you lost sight of God, trusting in worldly things rather than in God. Ask for His forgiveness. Pray He will help you keep your eyes on Him and turn your ears toward His Word as you navigate this world.

    THANKSGIVING:
Praise the Lord for His power and sovereignty. Thank Him for being the One you can count on and turn to for everything. Thank Him for the wonderful inheritance that awaits you as a child of the one, true King.

    SUPPLICATION:
Lord, I'm both grateful and relieved to know that You are sovereign and in absolute control. Help me not to lean on my own, but to trust in You and Your almighty power. I pray for the leaders of this nation, that they would unite and be of one mind toward You. Give them discernment and courage to do the work before them. All glory and honor to You. Amen.

    PRAYER
“For his anger is but for a moment. His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.”
    PSALM 30:5
Dear Lord, I know You are with me in every moment of darkness. There is no trial or hardship beyond Your redemptive work. During seasons of intense darkness, I put my hope in the light of heaven. Although the night may be filled with tears, joy will meet me in the morning. You will guard me under Your strong tower. You will uplift me and show me that no sin, shame, or failure is more potent than Your providential love for me. Comfort my soul tonight and teach me how to tuck gently into Your loving arms. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

God is our refuge and strength A very present help in the day of trouble. Psalm 46:1

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 46
The world can feel like a scary place sometimes, but God’s Word tells us not to be afraid. We have help and a refuge in which to dwell, the Lord’s loving arms. He is bigger than any problem we face and Is the answer to the hope we hold on to.

Step into the safe haven of God, whose strength and power will protect you; be still and know He will protect you through this night and into a new day.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
    ADORATION:
This passage describes God as our fortress, our refuge, and strength, our ever-present help in trouble. It is clear God is always there to help us, to keep us secure, and to bring us peace. As you lie down to go to sleep, you have nothing to fear because God's plan has always been to rescue you, from the very beginning of time. Thank Him that He is always there to help you, to keep you secure, and to be your peace. As you wind down to sleep, surrender any fear you're holding on to and trust in His presence over you tonight.

    CONFESSION:
Think of a time when you were overcome by fear, and you didn’t go to God as your refuge. Confess this situation to Him now and allow Him to take away your fears and give you His peace.

    THANKSGIVING:
Rejoice in the Lord's strength. Praise Him for the times He has helped you and delivered you. Thank Him for rescuing you; thank Him for keeping you safe and secure tonight.

    SUPPLICATION:
Father, I look to You now and release my fears and insecurities into Your hands. Be my refuge and strength tonight; deliver me from my difficult circumstances. Fill me with Your peace and give me deep, sound sleep through this night that only You can give. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

    PRAYER
“Ascribe to The Lord the glory due to his name. Worship The Lord in holy array.”
    PSALM 29:2
Dear Lord, tonight I am in awe of Your creation. All nature answers to Your voice. All the hosts of heaven proclaim Your glory in an endless song of praise. There is no one like You. It is an astonishing thing to consider how much You love me. As I rest after a long day tonight, I want to settle peacefully into the same praise of creation. Though I am weak and my soul wanders from the truth, You have seen it fit to love me anyways. Just as You sit atop a throne of everlasting light, I pray You would sit upon the throne of my life. Direct the convictions of my heart like You direct the course of the winds. Build the foundation of my life like You established the mountains on high. I want my life to be in tandem with nature - ever praising Your holy name! Amen.
