    Nov 30 2024
Your Daily Prayer 🙏🏾 Acts 27:44
Faith anchors us when life’s waves threaten to overwhelm.

Today’s daily devotional highlights Paul’s journey through a relentless storm and shipwreck on his way to Rome. Despite the chaos, God reassured Paul of their safety. As the ship broke apart near land, everyone survived and reached the shores of Malta safely.
    STORY
Bible in a Year: The Mighty Storm
    Scripture
And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.

    Acts 27:44
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the storms of life, where every wave seems to threaten your very existence?

Paul’s journey to Rome through a relentless storm and eventual shipwreck is a powerful reminder of God’s unwavering presence and promises.

As Paul and Luke traveled by sea, they encountered a fierce storm that began to tear their ship apart. Despite the chaos and fear, God reassured Paul that everyone on board would reach Rome safely. This promise became Paul’s anchor in the midst of the storm.

Have you ever experienced a time when God’s promises brought you peace amidst turmoil?

As the storm continued to rage, the crew’s hope dwindled. Yet, Paul’s faith remained strong. When the ship finally broke apart near land, God’s promise was fulfilled as everyone survived, reaching the shores of Malta safely. This miraculous escape highlights God’s faithfulness and protection, even in the direst circumstances.

How has God shown His faithfulness in your life, even when the situation seemed hopeless?

Paul’s courage and trust in God’s promises remind us to hold on to our faith, no matter how fierce the storm. Just as God guided Paul and the crew to safety, He will guide us through our trials, turning our chaos into testimonies of His steadfast love and protection.
    REFLECTION
Reflect on the storms you are currently facing or have faced in the past. Consider how God’s promises and presence have brought you peace and guidance.

This week, focus on holding on to your faith, even when life’s waves threaten to overwhelm you.

Spend time in prayer, asking God for the strength to trust in His promises and to see His hand at work in your life.

    PRAYER
“And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.”
    ACTS 27:44
As I continue on the Journey to my destiny and when the storms of life begin to beat on the ship of my life, I will urge those around me that God will bring us through, because the Lord is with me. Use me Lord to encourage those around me, even my enemies, that You have not forsaken us just because we have experienced a shipwrecked moment. Through Paul's story in Acts 27 I will celebrate the fact that whether I come in one piece or whether my life arrives in pieces, I will get to my final destination no matter what. Thank You Jesus that the current of Your favor will move me in the direction of my intended location. I am never lost when I put my hope and trust in You Lord! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. 🙏🏾

    Nov 29 2024
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 90:12

So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
    PSALM 90:12

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 90
In our ever-changing world, we can find comfort in the everlasting and unchanging nature of God, knowing He has always existed, and He always will. He is the Alpha and the Omega-the One who gave us life, who will guide and lead us through our time here on earth, and the One who will take us to His eternal dwelling to rest.

To begin tonight’s reading, take time to be still and breathe out the stresses of the day. Clear your mind as you receive the following words from our Lord. Allow His truth to focus your heart on eternity and give you a new perspective tonight.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: God's Word reminds us He is everlasting-He was, He is, and He is yet to come, meaning He is our past, present, and future. He is our constant in this changing world. Let us acknowledge and exalt Him for this amazing fact. We can dwell in His safety for all the days of our lives, and we can rest securely in His hands every night.

CONFESSION: We can never hide our sins from God. Our secret sins, the darkness within us, are always brought to light in His presence. So, tonight, let's not hold on to our sins and struggles but let’s release them to God now. Confession is not to inform God of our sins but to come to God with our sins to be redeemed and restored by His grace and love.

THANKSGIVING: Rejoice in His unfailing love and compassion. Thank the Lord for fully knowing you and fully loving you. Thank Him that He is unchanging and steady.

SUPPLICATION: Father, I confess that sometimes I take my life for granted. Help me to number my days and live as though every single day matters. Point my thoughts and motives toward You, and bless the work of my hands, no matter how small or insignificant a job it might be. Bless me with Your peace and serenity tonight as I entrust my life, body, and spirit to You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    PRAYER
“So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
    PSALM 90:12
Dear Lord, as I retire to bed, may I rest peacefully, undisturbed by worries or fears, for I have numbered my days and know they are finite. Yet I find absolute comfort that my eternity is in You. Help me use my time on this earth wisely. I want to gain a heart of wisdom and sleep settled in Your soothing wisdom. Guide me to make the most of each moment, cherish my loved ones, seek knowledge and truth, and live with purpose and intention. May I wake in the morning renewed and ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Thank You for this day and all its blessings. Thank You for the chance to continue growing and learning. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  • Episode 1175 - Jarvis Kingston I will sing of the loving kindness of the Lord forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to
    Nov 28 2024
Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 89:1
“I will sing of the loving kindness of the Lord forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.”
    PSALM 89:1

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 89
The Bible reminds us over and over again of God’s loving-kindness and of His promise to preserve us and protect us, to set us apart for His glory. He knows the hearts of those who love Him, and He sees when they are afflicted. He will strengthen us through the day, and His hand will sustain us through the night. We are exalted by His righteousness; nothing can change His love for His people.

Tonight, let us turn away from anything or anyone who diminishes our belief in the all-powerful God and place our trust in His mighty presence in our lives.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: The psalmist reminds us of God's power, sovereignty, and faithfulness in this passage. He reminds us that we can completely put our trust in Him because He is our Rock and Savior, our Father and Redeemer. Allow His constant presence to lighten your heart as you prepare for sleep tonight.

CONFESSION: Confess any time you rely on your own strength instead of asking the Lord for His help and guidance. Turn to Him and ask for His forgiveness, knowing that He listens and forgives freely.

THANKSGIVING: Rejoice in the faithfulness of the Lord, for His power and might that are with you always. Thank Him for the blessings and favor He has poured upon you.

SUPPLICATION: Lord, You are a God who doesn't change, and I am grateful. Even when I don't understand some circumstances in life, I know You are with me and keeping Your promises to me. Thank You for Your faithfulness in the past as well as in my future. Sustain me this night for a deep, peaceful sleep, and fill me with Your strength as I go into a new day tomorrow. All glory to You. Amen.

    PRAYER
“I will sing of the loving kindness of the Lord forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.”
    PSALM 89:1
Good and holy God, the heavens declare Your majesty, and the fulness of the earth is under You. I could live a thousand lifetimes and never fully grasp the expanse of Your glory. The sun has set, and a blanket of shadows covers the earth. I ask that You would cover me with comfort. Envelop me with Your mercy and steadfast love. Give me rest that can only come from God above. As I sleep, flood my mind with thoughts of awe, gratitude, and thanksgiving. As my body recovers from the day, restore my heart and mind. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
