  • The power of community
    Nov 10 2022

Chris Humphries joins Zeffr's Meghan Davies to tell his story of how changing some key things in his life has helped many other people along the way.

Chris and his family run a Community Interest Company (CIC) that organises training, matches and social events for all sorts of people who enjoy walking football, walking netball, and walking cricket. During the pandemic, the role of their walking sports clubs changed significantly to include mental health support for many of the members and he talks to us about the effect this had on him and the direction his life has taken.

At work, Chris leads a large team at a multinational technology organisation and is a trained Mental Health First Aider. He is passionate about great leadership and empowerment and encouragement of individuals and teams. He is generous with sharing his stories and those of others, and he highlights the following trailblazers in our conversation.

You can watch the Google advertising campaign with the FA and walking football on Youtube here.

  • Creativity and fun at work
    Sep 1 2022

Are you interested in developing better self-awareness for you and your team? Perhaps you are starting to consider the impact that past experiences and even trauma can have on relationships at work.

In this episode of How To Be Happy At Work, we talk to Zaira Mughal who is a Therapeutic Arts Coach & Facilitator, Counsellor, Energy healer and trainee Art Psychotherapist. Her personal philosophy is that you contain a Life force that is extraordinarily creative, and is longing to express itself through you. When you choose to ignite your creative life force, your potential becomes exponential.

Zaira has spent the last five years coaching, designing and facilitating creative spaces that ignite self-awareness and wellbeing, interpersonal learning and collective leadership to create a more equitable world. She is known for her playful, embodied and intuitive approach to creative wellbeing and has successfully supported hundreds of people that were feeling stuck in life to listen to the wisdom of their life force, body, heart and mind intelligence, and transform their ways of being, feeling, thinking, doing and being with others.

Zaira works with the arts (2D and 3D image making, music, puppets, sandplay), somatic practices, breathwork, visualisations and humanistic techniques that are anchored in neuroscience, to activate your imagination towards life, elevate new perspectives and unleash new possibilities for living your potential.

We talk to Zaira about how leaders can incorporate creativity and fun into our working lives and the difference it can make to team cohesion, energy and motivation. It’s a joyful episode, we hope you enjoy it!

  • Money mindset and financial wellbeing
    Aug 17 2022

Bianca Williams from The Finance PT www.thefinancept.com joins us for this practical and timely episode on financial wellbeing. Being worried about finances can cause significant stress and anxiety, and can have an impact on our work, mood, relationships and wellbeing in general.

Bianca is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and the founder of The Finance PT, which brings 1-2-1 financial planning expertise, coaching and mentoring to 'the rest of us'. Her purpose is to bring simple, sound financial planning and coaching to ordinary people: otherwise known as 'bridging the advice gap'.

Over her 11-plus years in financial services (including investment banking, private banking and financial advice), she’s seen that high net worth individuals have access to 'full service' financial planning expertise and experience from qualified financial advisers/planners, while the rest of us get 'hints and tips', pre-recorded videos or even DIY software to somehow plan for ourselves.

As someone who began doing 'DIY' financial modelling after being refused financial advice in the early part of her career, Bianca celebrates 'ordinary' people as the exact right people to work with. She aims to show them that their money can work as hard for them as they do for it – and guide them step by step towards a level of financial wellbeing that others take for granted.
