• Ep. 16 Part 2: "Shop Talk" - Rinks, retail, and revamping your setup
    Aug 28 2021

Hi Friends! Thank you to those who have given us valuable feedback, we absolutely love hearing from you listeners. Today's episode is our second episode, and last, of the "Shop Talk" series. We expected you all to love Christina and this series just as much as our "Big Business" series with Michelle (Estrojen), but we never expected the amount of engagement and discussion we are receiving and we love it! This episode is all about the technical ideas of Shop Talk and we go over some of the most asked questions by skaters. We love you and good brunch!

  • Ep. 12: "Breaking the Mold" - Individuality & self-expression through skating
    May 7 2021

Hey friends! In this episode, we discuss some corrections from the last episode and finally address what makes US queer. We hope you find the topic relatable and are excited about our *very, very late* episode. Individuality and self-expression are very evident in the skate community, so we address some of those examples and why the community is heading in the wrong direction these days. Please enjoy, and GOOD BRUNCH!

  • Ep. 10: "A Balance of Skating and Health" - Skating's place in mental health (ft. Maddie Eaton)
    Apr 1 2021

Join Ashleigh and Trey in episode 8 of Eskate from Reality! We're so excited to introduce you to our *virtual* guest star this week, Maddie Eaton (@punkygirlsk8s). In this episode, we discuss how skating helps us balance our physical and mental health. Maddie explains her battle with a skin excoriation disorder (a disorder related to OCD that causes someone to habitually pick at their skin). With such a disorder, her physical appearance changed and her insecurity made it hard to be in public without questioning judgment. However, with skating in her life, she was able to come out about her battle and show her true color behind the scars. As always, good brunch!

    Mar 19 2021

Hey skaters! We're absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from an expert advocate and educator in the disabilities community, Dr. Danielle Mireles! In this episode, she guides us in the journey of learning to be better skaters and dissect ableism at its core. We hope you listen and learn just as much as we did from this episode! Thank you so much to @mrnicegirl (Danielle) for allowing us to speak to her and for giving us the opportunity to hear so many important solutions to bring the community closer.
