Defeating Childhood Trauma

By: Jaena
  • Summary

  • Providing much-needed education on the truth about the abuser's culture, who they are, what they do, and how to heal our trauma. I tell the truth about the Cluster B disorders: NPD, BPD, HPD, and ASPD without making apologies for them. I'm here to help my Complex-PTSD community and domestic abuse survivors, NOT those who caused the trauma. Each episode we discuss various abuses the Cluster Bs inflict, the ongoing problems you may have as a result of being raised by one of them, and the science.

  • HPD Part 2: The Comorbid Histrionic
    Oct 4 2024

    1) Sharing the two comments I received from last week's episode that opened my eyes and birthed two theories as per why we haven't heard much about HPD.
    2) Introducing the Appeasing vs. Disingenuous (Malignant) Histrionic and their polarities.
    3) HPD + Dependent PD (Cluster C) = Appeasing
    4) HPD + ASPD = Disingenuous (Malignant)
    5) "Don't Panic" warnings to my Complex-PTSD community so that you don't SELF-diagnose as the Appeasing Histrionic. Addressing the differences between DPD and codependency and the self-abandonment programming in C-PTSD vs. the appeasing histrionic's brand of people-pleasing.
    6) Showing examples of the appeasing histrionic in action.
    7) The Disingenuous (Malignant) Histrionic compared to the Malignant Narcissist.
    8) "Diagnosis whack-a-mole" How if the person you have or are dealing with is Somatic (NPD + HPD) and also meets just enough criteria (5 or more) for ASPD, some situations you will see malignant HPD behaviors and other situations will bring out their malignant NPD side.
    9) Sharing my personal experiences with an old friend back in the day who was histrionic as a means of demonstrating how we don't have to box the histrionic into one comorbidity.
    10) Some final insights on HPD and how and why the aging narcissist isn't the only one who suffers the collapse.

    Sep 27 2024

    1) Histrionic keyword: Everything Superficial.
    2) Don't panic warnings concerning environments that manufacture mindsets so that we understand the difference between the disorder and a person who is merely responding to peer pressure.
    3) How the first five criteria for HPD appears at first glance to be just as narcissistic as NPD and how they are different.
    4) How the last three criteria appear similar to BPD traits and how they are different.
    5) Jealousy and Projection: scrutinizing the 10 traits all Cluster B disorders have in common and how they manifest in HPD.

  • NPD Part 2: The Comorbid Narcissist
    Sep 22 2024

    1) The Grandiose narcissist vs. the Covert narcissist and their opposite polarities.
    2) PAPD + NPD = Covert Narcissist. Explaining the confusion as per why the covert is often mistaken for BPD and vice versa by comparing the Petulant Borderline to the Covert Narcissist. Both disorders are sharing a comorbidity with Passive-Aggressive Personality Disorder.
    3) The covert narcissist and covert abuse. Sharing my personal experience from dating one of these back in the day as an example.
    4) Narcissistic Rage vs. Narcissistic Snaps. How the covert is more inclined to snap than rage.
    5) HPD + NPD = Somatic Narcissist. Narcissus Incarnate who is a serial cheater and also demands to be the exact center of their partner's entire universe.
    6) Sharing my own experience from also dating a somatic narcissist.
    7) ASPD + NPD = Malignant Narcissist. The most dangerous narcissist of all, the narcissist who is also a psychopath/sociopath.
    8) Sharing that terrifying day when my somatic narcissist ex turned malignant because it's proof that we do NOT have to limit the narcissist into one box. It's a reminder of the fact that the Cluster B disorders are a continuum.
    9) Ending with where and how to find me all across social media.
