Our bones are too heavy & it ruins our hair... Right??!!

In this short series we touch on the historical contexts of black swimming and also look at the social constraints.

With the help of some incredibly talented black voices we dissect and unpack the myth that black people can’t swim.

There’s a few of my swimming experiences thrown in and amongst but most importantly this podcast is for you to feel empowered and ready to jump in the deep end, well not quite, even I can’t do that yet!

    Black People Can't Swim

This podcast is for everyone, whether you're white and what to learn why the myth still stands or whether you're a person of colour and want to feel empowered and inspired to learn to swim. Or for those that are generally interested in culture, fitness and self-improvement.

We unpack and dissect the myth that black people can't swim by looking at black history, the social constraints and key barriers.

I chat with some incredibly talented guests and I hope you enjoy the show.
