  • BLT Podcast 5 - My Military Experience
    Jul 11 2024

I spent 19 years in the military and today I'll share a lot of my experiences with my time in service. I'll talk about some of the things I did in the service.

I want to be abundantly clear here, I respect and honor those who serve in the military to do the mission of defending the country against things that are supposed to be working against us. This is honorable.

Unfortunately my experience in the military is that this is not what it is used for.

I found myself overwork, in pain, doing illegal, unethical, and immoral things. And to the deepest part of my heart that what I was doing was support corporations such as Lockeed Martin, BAE, General Dynamics, and others to make a bunch of money.

I'll speak about my time working with leaders that were unethical, about my efforts to learn to become a physical therapist and learn to take care of myself despite all the medical advice to take as many drugs as I can to cover pain and stop feeling.

This is why I have started doing the things I do now with my company Breathe Live Thrive to show people the ways that I have worked to help myself, the things I have personally tried and combined and refined to make myself a more productive person.

I brush on some of the things I do to help myself but those topics will be covered more in future recordings. Think about breathwork, yoga, mobility, physical therapy, nutrition, spiritual work, plant medicines, and a lot of other things as well.

On this video I took about a year ago is a 33 minute ice bath. I speak about the feelings as well as a lot of the benefits that I have obtained from doing ice baths. Cold Plunges and cold water help change my genetics to help me free myself from my programming from my life and the things I was taught. Things like cold will get me sick, things like doing hard things are for other people while I should try to do easy things to live the ideal easy life. The things that I do in my life are difficult now and these difficult things help make the everyday things easier. My inflammation levels are lower, my circulation is increased, and my ability to respond to everyday stress is simpler and easier to manage.
