  • For many years, I struggled with putting myself or my needs first. Whenever I wanted to, I couldn't get past thinking I was being selfish. As the years went by and I slowly started taking better care of me and my needs, everyone around me disappeared as they were not getting the things they once were from me. Trying to see that you are important too, and need to pay attention to yourself has taken me a lifetime to figure out, and sometimes, I still forget and help others to my detriment.
