  • 19: What We REALLY Think About Parenting
    Nov 4 2024

Hotties, is it just us, or do you also wonder if there will ever be a day when we can leave the house and not have to watch the clock and hurry home to our children?

Who knew parenting would be so TRIGGERING! These gorgeous, squishy, innocent, kind, funny little people...could push so many buttons. Parenting really pushes you to your limits, and in this episode we openly discuss our thoughts on what we REALLY think about it all.

Have you ever felt guilt for sending your children to daycare, or felt guilty after raising your voice? Do you wish you were more like what you *picture* the perfect parent to be? Us too!

This parenting job is hard, no if's and buts about it. It's monotonous, it's day in day out and this chat felt like a breath of fresh air to be reminded, that we are not in this alone. These thoughts are normal and one day, there will be time and space within our lives where we won't be watching the clock, nor needed at home.

Please, if you haven't already, follow, rate and review. We are excited to get into more ears and hearts and this really helps.

    Love Han & Rach x

  • 18: Overwhelm & Anxiety; Can Our Podcast Survive?
    Oct 28 2024

In this day and age it's fair to say everyone experiences anxiety to varying degrees, what we delve into today is how anxiety makes us feel, the feelings that have been coming up for us with creating our podcast, and the lack of time. We chat about how open communication really may be a key factor in welcoming some calm, along with needing to feel like we have a semblance of control within our life, and that life isn't just happening to us.

We touch on when big decisions and the thought of the unknown can feel huge, and sometimes when everything feels too much we can almost be left in this state of paralysis. We discuss how Rach & Han both have very different coping skills and touch on what it can look like for us when we are trying to dig ourselves out of an overhwleming spot within our lives.

This was a chat relavent to where we are right now, and in time we would love to explore further what living with anxiety can look like for some over the longterm, day in day out, and not just a fleeting thing that comes up from time to time.

Thank you for being here, and as always, find those hot minutes where you can Hotties.

  • 17: Living With An Eating Disorder
    Oct 21 2024

Hello dear Hotties! This week Rach generously and openly shares her experience with something she kept hidden from those closest to her for many many years. This raw and vulnerable chat, exudes honesty and a real insight into how it felt to live with Bulimia.

Rachael dives into the lowest points in her life, how her brain responded to certain situations, where it began, her feelings in amongst her colleagues and friends and how it felt when it was no longer a secret amongst those closest with her. She speaks about how she climbed out the other side with the help she received, both professionally and through those that were closest to her.

This is the very first time that Han and Rach have spoken about Rach's journey with Bulimia. Hannah asks all the questions that she has wondered about for years. This week's chat ended with the biggest of hugs.

Rachael is brave sharing her experience in the hope that it will reach someone who needs it most. We have no doubt you will share this with anyone that needs to hear it.

TRIGGER WARNING/HELP: If you or someone you know need support, or want support to help someone you know, you can contact The Butterfly Foundation on 1800 ED HOPE (1800 33 4673).
