Today! We are talking about Georgia Bill SB233 - Georgia Promise Schools Act’s. The measure allows families with students enrolled in Georgia’s K-12 public schools to remove $6,500 of state funding provided to local school districts to attend private schools or to homeschool. Dr. Owens joins us to discuss the perils of such a bill passing and what we can do to fight for a better more equitable GA education system.

Stephen graduated from the University of Georgia, where he holds a doctorate with a focus on education policy. His dissertation centered on state-level agenda formation.
