    On the show today: Olympia is back and covering the day's headlines, including recently revealed data from the Department of Transport and Main Roads, showing where Brisbane’s most dangerous intersections are. We also hear your tales of braving yesterday's rain bomb around the city.

    Gardening is back with Arno King, which sees Arno and Olympia get to your questions straight away. Arno discusses how to slow or stop Mullumbimby Cooch, getting rid of paspalum in a buffalo/cooch lawn and treating sunburnt nasturtiums.
    PLUS Arno shares his plant of the week - the Red Kamala (Mallotus philippensis). A native to SE QLD, during winter-spring the trees produce attractive small red fruit covered in red powdery substance.


    In the second hour, we hear from Argyle Jewelers’ John Jurgs about a robbery that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning at Carindale.

    The South East Queensland UHF Emergency Service Team (or SEQUEST as it is also known) is a volunteer radio group that provides crucial community updates before, during and after significant weather events in South East Queensland. Having seen the ebb and flow of floodwaters over the years, SEQUEST founder Shane Barnes joins Olympia to share some of his insights and predictions.

    Elsewhere, Living The Tradition is a music concert experience that includes a screening of a documentary about Irish musical heritage. The event is set to take place in Broadbeach next week, and will feature accomplished musicians Ilse De Ziah and Ian Date. Ian joins Olympia to talk more about the concert and his musical work.

    PLUS: Tiny Doors! These charming additions to our city have been around for a while and are getting the Christmas treatment this festive season. Olympia chats with Tiny Doors creator Mace Robertson about this wonderful project.

It comes as the rushed inquiry into the LNP’s “Making Queensland Safer” Bill recommended the laws be passed, arguing the incompatibility with human rights of children was “justified”.
    Olympia also shares her recent weird office food experience, and we hear your stories about risky eating in the workplace.

    Gardening is back for another week with Paul Plant! Paul also gets stuck into your gardening questions straight away. We hear more about caller Joseph’s Fiddle Leaf joy, discuss why the leaves on a red paw paw are not unfurling properly, a cosmos that just won’t flower, potted geraniums that seem to be struggling with the torrential rain, and if severely pruning a Frangipani will help its regrowth.
