Summary

Agent Cooper Dayton is almost relieved to get a phone call from his former boss at the Bureau of Special Investigations. It means a temporary reprieve from tensions created by house hunting with Oliver Park, his partner both in work and in life. Living together in a forever home is exactly what Cooper wants. He's just not keen on working out the details.

With a former alpha werewolf missing, Cooper and Park are loaned to the BSI to conduct the search at a secluded mountain retreat. The agents will travel to the resort undercover...as a couple in need of counseling.

The resort is picturesque, the grounds are stunning and the staff members are all suspicious as hell.

With a long list of suspects and danger lurking around every cabin, Cooper should be focusing on the case. But he's always been anxious about the power dynamics in his relationship with Park, and participating in the couples' activities at the retreat brings it all to the surface. A storm is brewing, though, and Cooper and Park must rush to solve the case before the weather turns. Or before any more guests-or the agents themselves-end up dead.

Contains mature themes.

Excellent series

I love this series and the crime fighting duo of Park and Cooper. I also like the romance between Park and Cooper. The narration is just right for the characters.

The Most Original Shifter Series Out There!

This series just gets better and better! I absolutely adore Park and Coop.
Some series can start to slow down or loose that spark after the first couple of books, but Charlie Adhara has written such an original take on shifters and such well developed characters, that this series is growing episode by episode.
I can’t wait for the next book.

Wjst sn amazing story

Genius writting. How inteligent and insightful. Emotions and some of the outcomes well being and human observation. As you see im finding it hard to say clearly how amazing this author is. Third time reading story. Certain things now are reading so real, so well described and written. Just jumps of the page/ear.

I absolutely love this series, the development of Oliver and Cooper’s relationship is so good, enough romance, mystery and character development for you to just want more, more, more

The perfect mix!

I love this series! It had the right mix of adventure and romance to keep you on that 'just one more chapter' wheel and the narrator is excellent.

And of course... Werewolves! The unique take and insight into their world gives the reader that extra pizazz!

I can't wait for the next one!

getting better each time!

I really enjoyed the first three stories in the series and this is a fantastic continuation, with a good blend of action, relationship development, and further intriguing hints about the mysteries underlying the whole series. Cooper and Park are sweet and, as usual, great as detectives but not so much at the whole communication thing, while their undercover mission at a couple's retreat provides another complex and awkward backdrop to their revelations and misunderstandings. Contrary to one of the other reviewers I think this narrator is very easy to listen to, without any ostentatious overdramatisation (my personal bête noire in audiobooks) but plenty of feeling where it's needed. Definitely recommended to anyone who enjoyed the previous instalments.
