About this listen
That moment when you realise...you have absolutely no clue.
Emily Jones is a new mum: she's bought the swank buggy, planned her labour soundtrack, read the books. Then her little girl actually arrives and Emily realises: she has all the gear, no idea - and only 12 months of maternity leave to figure it out. Lonely but not alone, it's the women Emily befriends in this first year who really see her through to the other side.
Perfect for fans of The Unmumsy Mum, Louise Pentland and Gill Sims.

12 weeks in and just what I needed!!
Great book, Great narrator. A real life, hilarious account of what life is like with a new born, including the good the bad and the ugly! Thoroughly enjoyed!

So familiar, funny, touching and real. The perfect distraction post surgery. I absolutely loved it.

An unexpected delight.
So, I don’t suppose I’m really in the target demographic for this book but, Audible recommended it, so I thought I’d give it a go. I’m glad I did, it was a joy from start to finish. Brilliant characters and a cleverly constructed plot told with humour and a little sadness meant it was one of the most true to life and relatable books I’ve read or listened to in a long while. I thought the narrator was fantastic too and really tuned in the to the essence of the book. Good work.

Just ok.
I really thought it would be a bit better. As a new mum myself I was looking for relatable but also escapism. I couldn't get along with the story not really having a direction. I really wanted to love it as this is my favourite type of read but this one just wasn't for me.
