Summary

The #1 bestseller will keep you on the edge of your seat with a twisty, gripping crime thriller. Perfect for fans of Karin Slaughter and Angela Marsons.

Their darkest secrets won’t stay buried forever…

The butchered body of a professor is found in a private office of Exeter University. It is the first in a spate of horrific murders that shakes the city to its core.

Who would target a seemingly innocent man, and why? DS Imogen Grey and DS Adrian Miles turn to his students for answers, but their investigation turns up no leads. Someone must know more than they’re letting on…

As the body count rises, the police have to look into the past to uncover the person responsible before it’s too late.

But are they brave enough to face up to the truth?

Really Enjoyed this books only one small issue

Really enjoy this series of books, however the only thing I would say is, how people were feeling was repetitive. Overall it was a very good book and Stevie Lacey’s narration is always spot on.

*Rollercoaster of Events*

This instalment is centred on a mysterious group of academic Professors and students, they seem to be based mainly at one university. The ringleader seems to somehow coerce the students and the other professionals to commit crimes and random acts, but in doing so a troubled killer from the past is unearthed, as this involves the one who is most dear to him. This person is known by DS Imogen Grey and DS Adrian Miles. Both detectives have history with him and now that he is back will they continue to protect him. How long has this group been in existence and are there anymore players…….

This instalment kept me on the hook right up to the end is the game finally over….

Great Narration too

WOWWWW!!!

I've read every book in this series, and each and every one has left me gasping. (in a good way!). I have to say that this one is even more of a rollercoaster than the previous four. It's really difficult to review a book like this without spoilers, as there's so much I want to talk about! Suffice to say there are more twists and turns in this plot than a curly telephone cable!
To sum up ; a brilliantly thought-out plot, with believable characters you will care about. Be warned, people, this book - this series - is NOT for the squeamish! I am now eagerly awaiting the next in series!

another great story.

Another great story, however it was quite different from previous books as there wasn't that many flashbacks and guessing of who did it.

Another superb book in the series

Narrator is, as always, both believable and engaging. The story flows and moves at a steady pace. Thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend reading the others in the series first so you know the characters and reference to previous storylines however it would be possible to read as a stand alone book.
