About this listen

The cruellest crime. The hardest case.

The disappearance of a Dundee-based dog breeder sets DS Vicky Dodds and her team on a desperate hunt through the city and the surrounding Tayside.

But soon other crimes are committed, with clear signs of escalation, and as the perpetrators' message becomes clearer, Vicky begins to question where her own sympathies lie.

From the acclaimed author of the DI Fenchurch series, Tooth & Claw is an unyielding police procedural that fearlessly examines the uncomfortable grey areas between right and wrong.

northwest listener

another excellent book by Ed James, as ever set in Scotland. This book is about willful actions against people that the perpetrators believe are cruel to animals, in truth a lot of cruelty to animals is taking place, but they, the perpetrators, turn their cruelty on to humans iin quite a sadistic way. As ever excellent narration by Angus King

Twists and turns galore

I’m warming to Vicky Dodds - this was a well thought out plot (a bit far fetched - but who needs reality). I like the interaction between the officers.

Excellent

Ed James does it again. Absolutely cracking book full of excellent characters and a plot with more than plenty going on to keep DS Dodds and her colleagues very busy. Loving the characters and their interactions both at work and at home, and great to have other story arcs related to these characters. Angus King’s narration is excellent and as always he portrays the characters & their feelings with great skill.
Next book please!
