About this listen
Oscar Lozada is repulsive, and he likes it that way. His apartment is always a wreck, he works at a sewage plant, and he’s an abrasive jerk to just about everyone. When he's not out drinking and hooking up with strangers, he trolls people on the internet for lulz.
His life changes when he finds out a victim of his trolling lives right next door. Noah is super-hot and disarmingly nice. In spite of himself, Oscar starts to fall for him. All he has to do is make sure Noah never discovers the truth behind his trollish ways.

Opposites Attract!
When I started listening to this book, I was very disturbed by how Oscar's lack of proper hygiene and his nonchalance of it all. Plus the endless effort just to offend and upset people. I felt bad for Noah. But I'm glad both characters went through a lot of growth and had gotten stronger together.
This book is a very well-narrated opposites attract read which teaches us how kindness and compassion can go a long way. And love. Love changes things, for the better one would hope.

great story
I really enjoyed this story. I cried and laughed, I understood the feelings and why. Not sure if I will read the sequel as I am content with this one ended but who knows.

Complicated
I absolutely love characters like Oscar.
He's so busy being defensive in order to protect himself (because behind his outward facade he's actually a pretty great guy) that he almost misses out on getting to know sweet Noah.
Real life is messy, complicated and sometimes you can't see the forrest for the trees.
I was absolutely thrilled to find this story completely relatable and realistic.
Michael T. Bradley did an outstanding job of conveying all the characters emotions.

Unique story
This started out with me doing some WTF faces, show could we learn to love this character he's pretty nasty, in the personality and physical sense. But somehow through the book the author manages to humanize him and turn him around. It ended up being pretty cute and sweet and i liked the character growth a lot.

Please don't give up
Oscar is the most vile character at the start of this book. How on earth could the author redeem him in the eyes of the audience? Well, she managed it and without him having a complete character transplant. He ends the bonus story still gruff and somewhat acerbic but with softer edges and much less self-revulsion. Noah is sweetheart, maybe a little too perfect but it is Oscar that stole my heart and made me cry.
The main story ends quite abruptly after the major conflict but there's a lovely hour long bonus story of Noah and Oscar's wedding.

Noah and Oscar
This is a new team to me, both narrator and author, but it won't stay that way. I loved this book and can't wait to continue their journey

Great plot
Trevor is a new to me author. I found myself completely absorbed in the storyline. Oscar and Noah are interestingly engaging. Bradley’s narration was good and captivating at times.

Give the apology he needs to hear
I really had a hard time with this book/audiobook. Oscar is such a mean, abrasive, selfish person to start that I did not like him at all. More than two-thirds of the way through, you finally learn about the events that hurt Oscar and affected who he is, but by then it's almost too late to empathize with him. I also could not imagine how anyone could stand to live in a place infested with roaches and buried in garbage. I liked Noah and his sweetness, but he was just too innocent and naive seeming. I liked the last hour and how it worked out, and the bonus story was cute. There are definitely a few intense moments. but mostly it all felt a bit superficial to me.
The narration good, the words were clearly spoken, and the tone and pace were good.
I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook at my request and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
