About this listen
When Caitlin moved from London to New York, she thought she had left her problems behind: her alcoholic father, her dead mother, the pressure to succeed. But now, down to her last dollar in a foreign city, she is desperately lonely.
And then she meets Jake. Handsome, smart, slightly damaged Jake. He lives off-grid, in a lakeside commune whose members practise regular exercise and frequent group therapy.
Before long, Caitlin has settled into her idyllic new home. It looks like she has found the fresh start she longed for. But as the commune tightens its grip on her freedom and her sanity, Caitlin realises too late that she might become lost forever....

disappointed
Struggled to finish this. The narrator was quite flat. The overall story was a bit of a let down.

A bit boring at times
The book is a bit boring and anti climatic. It was disappointing because I think there was an interesting premise and some very well written. I really wanted to like it but the turning point never came.

Disappointed!
This story held such promise, but after 6-and-half hours, and with only two left, very little has happened. In keeping with the publisher's description, Katelyn left the UK, met the guy in New York, went with him to the 'commune' type of place, a guy there dies, everything else seems pretty fine to me. No doubt there will be some kind of twist at the end, but nothing has engaged me enough for me to care any longer!

Boring
If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?
The story makes painfully slow progress towards a ludicrous and unsatisfying ending. It tries hard to jump on The Girls' bandwagon, but lacks anything insightful or even interesting to say on the subject.
