About this listen
As a female firefighter in a small town, Suzanne O’Connell finds herself trapped in a dangerous situation with two men. And when the stakes turn deadly, trusting the wrong man could put her life in jeopardy.
She held the phone in front of her, feeling excitement, or something. When Marcus rested his hand over the phone, she thought he was going to take it from her. As she lifted her gaze to her brother’s, his expression was anything but friendly.
“Please do not be one of those girls,” he said. As a female firefighter in a small town, Suzanne O’Connell knows that every day will go one of two ways: Either nothing happens, or she suddenly finds herself in over her head. Firefighters never, ever say the words “It’s a quiet day!” - because that’s when all hell breaks loose, and their peaceful, easy day suddenly turns into their worst nightmare.
This is exactly what happens to Suzanne when she finds herself trapped with Harold Waters, local law enforcement officer and her old flame, and fellow fireman Toby Chandler, who, according to everyone, is the kind of guy you want watching your back. In an unusual turn of events, the stakes turn deadly, and Suzanne discovers that trusting the wrong man could leave her life hanging in the balance.

Good story, good narration.
Unlike the first three audiobooks in this series, this one is not a duet narration. Having said that, Jason Markiewitz does a great job with all of the different characters voices in this book.
I enjoyed this book about Suzanne O’Connell. She’s a strong woman who gets dealt a raw deal. This story has a bit of a cliffhanger regarding who set the fire that trapped Suzanne with Toby and Harold. I was hoping to find out more about this in the next book but I’ve listened to this series thru book 6 and there hasn’t been any more about it yet. It’s not the kind of cliffhanger that made me want to throw my headphones when I got to the end but I do hope a future book will get back to this at some point.
I’m really enjoying listening to this series and am a bit mad at myself for waiting so long to listen to the stories since I’ve had most of the books in my Audible library for quite some time.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Trust
I enjoyed listening to this book and Jason Markiewitz did a great job.
Loved that Suzanne is a strong firefighter.
The story is centred around Suzanne, her hmm say boyfriend and firefighter Toby and Harold a police Deputy. When push comes to shove, the truth of character comes to light.
Great characters

A Burning Romance
The O'Connell's saga continues with Suzanne who is a firefighter and finds herself trapped in a fire with some trustworthy and and some not so trustworthy companions. Good characters and a decent plot which is nicely narrated

Enjoyed it
I enjoyed the story and the characters gave everything they had to each other. Jason Markiewitz really brought them to life and I liked being around this group of characters again.

Suzanne!
Something has to be said for a strong heroine. Suzanne has been seeing Toby, though their relationship at most times seems one sided. After training him, Toby is promoted above her. Fire breaks out and the two are trapped in the blaze with Deputy Harold Waters. Inept and unable to deal with the situation, it's clear how he had gotten his position. Now, someone has to take responsibility for the disaster, and it looks like there is a fall guy. Will Toby come clean? Will Suzanne take the wrap? And what happens when Toby finds out about Suzanne and Harold's previous relationship? This short is packed with suspense, romance, trust issues, corruption and family. It's another fun listen by Lorhainne Eckhart and is fantastic.
Jason Markiewitz is a new narrator to me. I enjoyed his performance with multiple voices easily distinguishable and his easy pace. I like how he built the relationships and suspense. It's a good listen and one you want to add to your O'Connell collection.

Another great addition to the Series
The Quiet Day was a relatively quick, very entertaining, edge of the seat tale. After being caught in a blaze, which Toby should have been assigning the roles to his fellow fire fighters.
Suzanne O'Connell who has been seeing Toby and trained him is horrified at how inept he is and how unprofessional his actions are.
Things really heat up when she is trapped in the fire with the man from her past and Toby.
How does this end? You will have to listen to this entertaining addition to the series.
Jason Markiewitz Did a fabulous job with the narration. He injected plenty of intensity, and personality and did a great job representing the characters in his performance

Very nice!
I have to say I really enjoyed this book far more than I have enjoyed books in the rest of the series. I really connected with the main character. She's really into this guy who couldn't bother to even try to pretend to be in a commitment with her. If that isn't bad enough, she's passed up on promotions in favor of him. This is a second chance romance. I really enjoyed the second chance part of the romance. It was really inspirational. Spoiler alert, the second chance isn't with the jerk.
