Really enjoyable continuation of the story
This is probably my favourite book in this genre I enjoy the main character and the side characters and enjoy the world and how it is setup and you know your place in it. Excited for the next chapter and hope its interesting but also exciting and tense. The relationship between Jake and The Malefic Viper is just fun.
Also a side note about the recap since i usually listen to these while working with audio the recap was pretty nice can see why some people won't like it but its a nice refresher if you have been busy or listening to other things.

Amazing as always
I loved the recap at the start it’s a shame I re listened to the last book so it was fresh in my mind but truly great book in series looking forward to the next.

Geek the good work
I do enjoy this series very much, the way the story develops with a good mix between fighting and politics.
The reader is one that o follow for sometime now and his work is as usual really good.

Moving along
Sometimes when you read a series, although you may enjoy the individual book you can also feel it hasn't moved the plot along much. This series is certainly not the worst offender (Defiance of the Fall) but I did feel slightly disappointed. Having said that the book in itself was enjoyable enough. The main criteria, I suppose is, did it leave you anticipating the next book? And yes it did.

I need the next book. I need nevermore
stuff unravels to what we are used to in terms of glorious loot. new faces and new abilities and new enemies. this series makes me giggle a lot and the viper and sandy are the two culprits in this book. loved it.

love the books!
love the books. just want to say two things:
first is probably personal but it's the first book with a recap chapter. personally I didn't like it much. was kinda strange and broke the 4 wall ish?.
second thing is that I feel the filler sentence "that is/was natural..." was used a bit too much.
