Summary

The crow hissed: "Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t cut your throat here and now. One single damn reason."

The prince froze with fear and said nothing. At last, his behavior was logical. His facial features had lost any order. Shivering, he closed his eyes in expectation of certain death.

But then there was a whispering. "Could there be three reasons maybe?" She suppressed the reflex to laugh—she hadn’t laughed aloud for years and was not sure if the muscles needed were even still functioning. Despite herself, she responded: "One good reason is sufficient, but alright, you have exactly three attempts."

Let’s see if the smartarse has anything else up his sleeve.

In the heart of the medieval world, Prince Karek crosses paths with a professional murderess—an encounter that could alter the kingdom for all time. Yet her contract specifies assassinating none other than Prince Karek himself.

Very enjoyable

Easy listen - interesting story line - I am waiting for the next instalment. Not as entertaining as The Gravedigger's son series (which I absolutely love), but still worth reading

Fabulous work by the author again

Loved his previous work The Grave Diggers Son & The Wiaf Girl. This so far is just as enjoyable!

Solid fantasy adventure

A fun and engaging start to the series. Well read with good character dialogue distinction. Not too demanding, fairly simple plot but thoroughly enjoyable and I'm looking forward to the next installment.

I’ve really like this author

His writing style is so easy to read and listen to. The stories are great and keep you interested all the way through. He’s just a real talent and I really like it. This book was great and I’m looking forward to the next one which is coming out in a few weeks.

Very enjoyable

Interesting story that’s very easy to listen to. This is the second series from Sam Feuerbach that I’ve listened too, the first being the Gravediggers Son. Narrator does a great job.

Absolutely brilliant

Very well read and a really dry wit. Sam has an amazing ability to make you like even the most ruthless of characters. I hope Audible is recording parts 3 onwards soon.

Great start to an intriguing series

I had thoroughly enjoyed this author’s Gravedigger’s Son series so went straight for this Krosann Saga. I loved this first instalment and shall certainly continue with it. However Daniel Wisniewski isn’t a patch on Gildart Jackson and clearly isn’t as well educated as Gildart whose pronunciation is perfect. Wisniewski constantly mispronounced words which grates. His narration isn’t bad enough to prevent me from continuing with this entrancing series however.

Another great listen from Feuerbach

The humour, the sarcasm, the pace of storytelling, the light hearted tone yet quite graphically described scenes in places... Feuerbachs stories are just brilliant. Personally prefer the narration from Gildart Jackson in The Gravediggers Son series if I'm to be critical but Daniel Wisniewski does more than a good job regardless. Ready for book 2!
