About this listen

The character of Bertram “Bertie” Wooster told the stories in first person style. He had a valet who stole some of his silk sox and was discharged. The agency sent replacement Reginald “Reggie” Jeeves. He arrived, mixed a hangover cure that was much needed and accepted, and the two were together from then on. Bertie, rich and toil-free, disliked hard work, some bossy women, and most children. He had a somewhat dingbat friend, Bingo Little, who fell in love with every girl he met. Any time they had a conflict, Bingo would point out, “Remember, we went to school together,” as though that would resolve any differences. Listen and enjoy their escapades.

I couldn't finish it - horrible voice actor choice

the American accent reading this British character - it's just so hard to listen to. Not just the fact it's the wrong accent (although it must be acknowledged it just doesn't fit right with this type of old-worldy uber-British character), but the actor's performance is simply weird. It's like he took on this job knowing nothing about the book, characters or the world they belong to. I got about 20 minutes in and had to stop, which was really unfortunate as I enjoy Jeeves books. Off to find a different version...

Dreadful narrator . Gave up listening

All the characters sounded the same. It needed an English accent- such as someone like Ian Carmichael or Richard Briers.
