Summary
Blandings is also never complete without the resourcefulness of canny Gally Threepwood, the staunchness of 'man mountain' butler Beach and the stentorian tones of Lady Constance ringing around its batty corridors (there's even an imposter or two). Naturally a pig-napping is afoot, but who will have the last oink?

Great
I have listened to this time and again. It is not one of my favourites but brilliant all the same.
PG Wodehouse has a great gift of observing peoples characteristics.
I will work my way through the others in time.

One of the best Blandings Castle books
With the classical Blandins Castle formula of romantic entanglement including Sir Gallahad supporting all lovers, Lady Constance opposing romance, and Lord Emsworth obsessed by his pig, not forgetting the inclusion of the imposter. This is PG Woodhouse at its best. I really recommend it.

Superb
A tour-de-force by Martin Jarvis. If I hadn't known it was one reader I'd have thought I was listening to a play. Hugely enjoyable.

Nicely intricate plot, very enjoyable
This book is engaging and gently entertaining with a twisting plot that keeps on giving. Martin Jervis excellent narration brings it to life.

I loved it!
I so enjoyed listening to Pigs Have Wings. Though I do wish it was the original version. Martin Jarvis was very good - as always.

Abridged
It is not clear from the description that this is sn abridged version. The book is excellent, one of my favourite Wodehouse stories, but it was frustrating to realise that it wasn't the entire text. Jarvis' narration is good, though a couple of the characters's voices are a bit too similar.

Super!
This is one of the best of P.G. Wodehouse's Blandings Castle books, to my mind. The various plotlines are all extremely funny in their own way, with the usual thwarted romances, long-lost lovers, hidden identities and an endearingly beery pig-man. Even Lord Emsworth begins to feel the flutter of romance in his heart, for a short while at least! Oh, and mustn't forget the pig-stealing!
The reading by Martin Jarvis is excellent as usual; he can even manage an audible double-take. Not easy to do, that! Most definitely he is THE Wodehouse reader!
A thoroughly enjoyable book with never a dull moment. Highly recommended.

Non-vintage Wodehouse and wrongly chosen narrator
This is late Wodehouse and at the time of composition the creative muse was clearly showing her age. Porcine wit is in short supply. And Martin Jervis, a wonderful reader of the Just William stories, is ill at ease with the task of recreating the accents of England’s inter-war patricians.
