They want put the people responsible behind bars once and for all, but before the dust can even settle following their latest bust, key witnesses begin to die. Three suspicious deaths in a week has everyone scrambling. But the NCA are closing the cases faster than Detective Jamie Johansson can even look into them.

Someone is killing those who can name the people pulling the strings, and the few witnesses who are still alive are running scared. But who is this new player, and what's their end game? Jamie must team up with a reluctant former partner to face this new and unseen foe. But it's not an investigation like any she's ever tackled. With no support and no jurisdiction, she's out on a limb, and there's no one to help her.

How far will Jamie go to find the truth and put an end to the killing? This new adversary has their fangs deep into this investigation, their venom spreading quickly. Jamie must act fast if she has any hope of seeing this through. But the case might not be her biggest problem. Because this isn't just about money or power anymore. For the viper hiding in the tall grass, coiled and ready to strike...it's personal.

Gripping and as ever brilliant

Another brilliant book by Morgan Greene and everything I expect and more. Narration is great. Story kept me on the edge of my seat throughout and the ending made me smile which does not always happen with reading about Jamie. Great to see how her character and interactions are progressing. Can’t wait for the next instalment!

So sad it’s all over.

I’m happy Jamie has found a place that’s happy.
But, Ohh - what a narration.
Just with sadness finished Hiss of the Snake. I will miss them all. What a job you did of bringing them all to life.
What an amazing original series.
Someone make a Netflix of it please.
Truely top!
