About this listen
Paranormal women's fiction romance from NYT and USAT best-selling author, Michelle M. Pillow!
Heather Harrison sees ghosts. It's not something she brags about. In fact, she wished she didn't. Communicating (or not communicating) with the dead only leads to heartache, and for her it led to a divorce. For the most part, she's happy being single. She's got a good business, close friends, and a slightly overprotective brother. What more does a 40-something woman need?
When her two best friends beg her for help in contacting loved ones, against her better judgment she can't say no to the séance. But some gateways shouldn't be opened, and some meddling spirits shouldn’t be stirred...like that of her Grandma who insists she's "found her a nice man".
The supernaturals have come out to play and it's up to this amateur medium to protect herself and her friends before the danger they summoned comes to bite them in the backside.
Perfect for fans of Denise Grover Swank, K.F. Breene, Shannon Mayer, Jana DeLeon, Kristen Painter, Darynda Jones, Mandy M. Roth, Robyn Peterman, Deanna Chase, Eve Langlais, Elizabeth Hunter and Christine Gael.

A Moving and Emotional Story
This is one of those books that makes anyone who has lost someone remember the pain of loss no matter how long ago their loss happened. Lots of the emotions dealt with by Heather will be familiar so be aware of this before you start listening to Heather's story.
When Heather's son, Travis, died aged just ten years, the loss took a toll on her marriage and the two grieving parents ended up divorced. Heather has not been able to move on, even though It has been years since Travis died, she still lives in the same house, she's even kept his room exactly as it was when he died.
Heather's work is remodelling historical houses, Martin is her electrician, he has a daughter Jan, who Heather finds sitting in a room all alone playing tic tac toe in the dust on the floor and talking to her "friends." Are there spirits in the project house, she decides that Vivien, Lorna, William and herself should hold a seance to find out. They learn Jan is special, just like Heather but they know that Martin doesn't believe in the paranormal and that they will need to give him proof that paranormal activity does exist if they are to help teach Jan how to use her gifts.
This book as well as making you feel Heather's loss, sadness and grief will also make you feel her happiness, it's moving and bittersweet. I became engrossed in this book which was well-written, engaging and descriptive.
The narration by Rebecca Cook is very well done, I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Another great chapter
Book three in the Order of Magic series chronicling the paranormal lives of the ladies of Freewild Cove,
Lorna, Heather and Vivien continue to hone their psychic skills in contacting and dispatching spirits.
This time we have Heather’s story which we already know involves the death of her child.
Heather’s paranormal skill (or curse) is seeing ghosts. This in part was responsible for her divorce.
Another great chapter in the paranormal lives of the ladies of Freewild Cove as they seek closure and the possibility of a future loving relationship.
Excellent narration.

Another hit
Heather has seen ghosts all her life but when she meets January the daughter of the contractor working on her newly acquired house she knows she has the gift too. January’s father Martin doesn’t understand and Heather , Lorna and Vivien set out to help him understand. I’m really loving this series and can’t wait to listen to more.

Laugh out loud moments….
The girls are at it again. Tackling grief and other serious matters with wit and humor, this book centers are Heather. She’s always been able to see ghosts, all except the ghost she most wants to see.
This book has some unexpected twists and turns as Heather deals with the anniversary of her son’s death, her aging mother, non-believers, and a to do list she’s been adding to for 10 years.
I really enjoyed this one! Laughed out loud at Bobby, and some of the moments that simply embrace what it is to be in our forties.

Fourth Power
Just loved this latest instalment in the Order of Magic series. This one is Heather’s story and it has all the right mix of heartache, happiness and romance. The narration was spot on and I’m looking forward to listening to the Fifth Sense once it’s released on audio!

The story continues....
This is the third in the series and you'll need to read them in order to get the whole backstory. Heather is the third of the trio and it's her turn to deal with her loss. She lost her son and even though she sees ghosts, the one she has wanted to see isn't there for her. When her grandmother (who almost steals the show all through the series) tells her she's found her a nice man, Heather isn't interested. She's fine with her life as it is. But the single father she's attracted to has a daughter that might bring them all around. Great story. Heartbreaking loss, but a great support system and Grandma Julia is always there. Loved the narration and the story. I also like the continuation from the other stories as the women grow closer, learn more about what they are capable of and find a way through to happiness.

Loving all these PWF books
Love the mature women in this fabulous series. All over 40. All going through some sort of heartache.
I found this story a bit sad at times with Heather's past, because all she wanted was to talk to her son, but his spirit wouldn't talk to her. Instead, chose a young girl named January. Heather, Lorna and Vivien help Jan and her dad, since she's like Heather.
The 3 friends have found each other and help each other heal from previous heartbreak. First was Lorna, second was Vivian and now it's Heather's turn. This is a great and moving story of how coming together to help a little girl and her father leads to Heather's healing.
I love how different the characters are but also how much they have in common.
The series is amazing, three wonderful awesome women,
each battling with the pain and sorrows of what live has handed them.
Their friendship is a kind of sisterhood, they'd do anything for each other.
It had just the right amount of sadness and joy.
There's lots here, magic, ghosts, mysteries and love.
Great book!

Beautiful emotional story
This is a beautiful emotional story. Heather lost her son when he was ten years old. She has never recovered, her marriage didn't survive the loss. This story had me in tears so many times. This is a fantastic story, so well written with an understanding of the grief involved in loosing a child.

Excellent story, brilliant narrator.
Same a the other book in the series Rebecca Cook narrates it brilliantly. Not a first bloom of love story but starting over after the love is no more with ghostly twist.
