About this listen

Sparks fly in the finale of the Scandalous Gentlemen of St. James Place series, as the last wicked rogue meets his match.

When Rosalind Sharpe gains the attention of the deliciously wicked Duke of Avendale, she's torn between her distracting attraction to the notorious rogue and the knowledge that he - rich as Croesus - is the perfect target for a deception that will put her swindling days behind her.

However, Avendale is no fool. After he discovers the tantalizing lady packing up to leave London with his coins in tow, he confronts her with a scandalous proposition: She can have all the money she requires - for a week in his bed.

Desperate for the funds, Rose agrees, but on one condition: He must never question her motives. Avendale quickly sees beneath her mask and discovers she is more than passion and pleasure - she is everything he has ever desired. But claiming her requires he unveil her secrets and lose her forever. Unless he can put his own dark past aside and risk everything for a chance at love.

One of the best books I have listened to.

Fab. story-line and good narration, as often the latter is not quite up to scratch. Could not stop listening to this very well written tale.

top notch

I have just finished a second listen of this book. The narration was excellent, with seamless interchanges between male and female voices, each character distinct.
the story goes much deeper than most romances. Harry's character and afflictions were finely crafted, and his relationship with H and h well honed. H and h both grow in the story.
Well done all.

Wonderful

I have listened to a great many audible books within this genre and as I listened to this lovely story while sewing my patchwork quilt I suddenly realised I had tears running down my cheeks. The performance was superb and the story was excellent and not what I expected. Thank you

Fantastic!!

One of the best books I have ever listened to in the genre!! The h and h were extremely well matched and very likeable. The secondary characters were fab too. Rose has had a very difficult and hard life but kept her little band of family together by whatever means! Harry her brother was the most lovely character and I couldn't help but fall in love a little with him even though he was not your handsome character normally found in this type of book. Good sex scenes without being soft Porn!. Rose had a strong character which was super and Avondale an arrogance but well deserved! I will listen to this book time and time again and will be in my top 10! It made me laugh and it made me cry even though I knew what the outcome was going to be!
Narration was very good - perhaps not brilliant but not off putting at all as many can be!
I spent a Credit on this book but would have happily bought it with cash!
This book won't disappoint - cannot recommend highly enough!!!

Angst overdose

An overload of mawkish sentiment and histrionic sacrifice.
In England we do not 'visit with'. We visit, converse, socialise etc. People also don't 'pass'. They die.
