Summary
One day changed the world forever.
Billions died. A small handful of survivors braved the apocalyptic wasteland to start again.
This is their story.
Salvation
The bunkers were built for the apocalypse. Just not the one they expected.
Life was bad and getting worse in the depths of Salvation. It did not take the people of Level Three long to realize that the only reason they had been spared from the cataclysm was to become a slave class.
Now, a single accident has changed everything. Fear is spreading like a virus. Rumors become facts the moment they’re spoken. Neighbor is turning against neighbor. And time is running out fast.
For most, this signals the end. For Callie and her friends, there is just one hope, but to find it, they’re going to have to fight through the most terror-filled night of their lives.
Can they escape the horror that awaits them and build a new life on the surface? Or will these next few hours be their last?
Rebirth
They thought escaping the bunker was their biggest challenge. They were wrong.
With little food and no resources, the fragile union is beginning to strain. But there’s something else too—something lurking in the shadows.
When the power died, the bunker went black. But it was nothing like the darkness that awaits them now. A new panic is spreading, but this time, few have hope of escaping it.
This was meant to be a fresh start, a rebirth. Instead, it could be the beginning of the end.
Will Callie and her friends be among the lucky ones? Or will their newfound freedom be short-lived?
They’re about to find out.
Infinity
Ever since leaving Salvation and escaping the quarry, things had got better and better for Callie and the rest of the community.
But now a single afternoon has turned their world upside down.
The clock is ticking to save one of their own, and a simple plan becomes a foreboding quest.
They’re about to learn just how much the world has changed.

Not his best read
A bit Woolie, didn’t find this as good as his other series. Found some of the main characters a bit too fluffy and unrealistic. Struggled to finish this one but persevered.

Best series ever!
A real treat for your ears and great binge listening. A fantastic adventure that kept me absorbed and immersed for the entire series, Christopher has a real talent in building a picture in your mind and his characters are unforgettable, Kim's vocal talents, help bring it all to life together they've created an unbeatable combination. I laughed and cried and was totally wrung out at the end and ready to do it all again.
I can't wait for Christopher's next adventure, its sure to be memorable, please keep them coming!

Good dystopia adventure
Very entertaining and performed competently with the exception of the Irish accent...which is awful. Strong characters.

The Burning Tree
Loved the story but I'm close to giving up because of the annoying music. I wish it could be switched off.

UK based story
I did finish listening but by the end was wishing it would hurry up. A sixteen year old school girl as the main character became a bigger and bigger mistake as the books progressed for several obvious reasons. She was super confident, charismatic, highly intelligent, a natural born leader, brilliant negotiator, an expert fighter and she never put a foot wrong - yeah okay, whatever.

Why the music
Really enjoying this book but not sure I can finish because of the really annoying music after each paragraph. Story is brilliant, narrator one of the best I've heard and has an amazing singing vouce too, but not sure how much longer my neurodivergent brain can take that constant jingle. Really spoiling it for me.
