Meh
This book is full of obvious observations and emotions that will frustrate the listener.
Everything is over explained as if the listener was a child or of low intelligence.
After 20 hours of frustration at what could be a fantastic story I've now given up.

Poor characters ruin story
As alot of reviewers have said the main characters are awful to the degree that you lose interest in the main plot. The strange thing is this is how the author had written them so well done in creating characters that the reader will loathe, i am on the third book and yes i do wish megan and her whole group the worst😐. That is why the rating is poor (not the main plotline) , you spend the entire time wanting to yell and slap some sense into the group. I got the complete seris for 1 credit which isa good thing as if i had purchese the books individually i would have stopped at the first and demand a refund, only cause i do not like being stressed out due to a book

Megan is an entitled dummy who thinks with hey emotions. she infuriates me at times especially during heated moments

protagonist wouldn't last a day
I struggled through all 6 books. the hints and tips from the author were nice but the protagonist was the most infuriating woman ever!

Strong Believable Characters
I’ve listened to the whole series twice now as I suffer from insomnia. I’m a bit addicted to EMP books however I really prefer those that tell the story of a group of survivors rather than the macho preppers with big guns fighting it out with lots of blood and gore.
I like all of the characters and thought they were genuine and well rounded.Some of the narrative is a bit cheesy especially between Megan and Wyatt .

the plot
loved this series of books set in a dystopian future where we have to go back to our roots to survive. no machines and living by your wits. couldn't stop.lisyening as I wanted to know what happened next .

Thoroughly enjoyable
I really enjoyed this series. Typical post-apocalyptic fayre but well-executed. A bit incredulous at some of the plotting, but it wasn't all guns/ammo there were a few tips in the stories. First time I've heard tack mentioned in one of these types of stories.
Main protagonist was, let's say, flawed.

A great story but.......
I'm loving this book BUT I seriously hate Megan. This book should be called "Megan and her bad decisions" , it's just ridiculous that she has so much say in the group when all she does is make bad decisions, and cause massive problems because of this.......but no one seems to notice or call her out on this! Literally, she thinks of something stupid, they all do as she says and people are injured or killed or lost because of her stupidness.....
Did I say I hate Megan? But I'm actually glued to this book and the narrator is superb, if only they would kill Megan off or something I would have given 5 stars!

Interesting twist of the genere
Nice story but frustrating at times. The good outweighs the bad, but if you are easily annoyed by stupid decisions from main characters you will have to take some breaks.
