Summary
A dragon shifter who fled her past...
Pix Camden hails from a powerful line of dragon shifters, but she left their controlling ways behind long ago. Now, she lives by her wits - footloose and fancy-free. Yet, something big is still missing...until she meets wild bear shifter Beckett, and he tempts her restless heart.
A bear shifter out of control...
Beckett North can hardly contain his unruly bear on the best of days. Then, he meets the captivating Pix. Even though she soothes his savage beast, he can tell she's hiding something from him, and it threatens to drive his bear mad. Yet, the fiery vixen is his mate, and he'll do whatever it takes to spend the rest of his life with her.
This story is filled with heart-pounding romance, pause-resisting adventure, and some awesome sexy times. If you love big ole grizzly bear shifters who have a soft spot for their fated mates, the charming and funny details of a shifter-filled small town, and the beautiful power of true love to always save the day, this book is for you.
Please note: This story originally appeared in a multi-author box set a few years back. My original plan was to expand it into a full-length novel, but ultimately, I decided to simply release it pretty much as it was. There have been a few small changes made to the story, but if you originally read it in the box set, it will sound familiar. Enjoy.

Beckett's story is another wonderful novella in J.K. Harper's Silvertip Shifters series. I'm truly smitten with this world that Harper has created! Deep Hollow seems like a quaint, picturesque town that I'd love to visit.
THE MAIN CHARACTERS:
Beckett: A 🐻 shifter who tends to be a loaner. He has his friends but people know to be weary of his moods. He lives outside of town away from everyone. He also has a selfless side. I couldn't help but to like him. And I loved his flirtation with Pix.
Pix: A roaming 🐲 shifter looking for her place in the 🌎 I found her to be strong, confident and true to herself. Knowing yourself and searching for a place you deserve takes courage. I gotta say... I admired Pix.
THE SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
Cortez: Readers first learned of Cortez and his wild ways in Hunter's Moon. In this book he's Beckett's best friend. His grumbling to Beckett about his behavior had me chuckling.
The little boy: Ok so he's not exactly a secondary character but I loved his part in the story. His awe and reverence was easily palpable due to the narrator's excellent performance.
THE RELATIONSHIP:
Unlike the other stories thus far in the series the couple met in the story so they spent little time together before they hit the sheets. However the day that they spent together was fantastic so the insta-love/destined mates thing between them was easily believable.
THE PLOT:
The plot was rather light and simple. This is after all only a novella. Harper spent most of the story on the development of the romance between the MCs. The slice of mountain village life that the author the put in the story was quite charming however. What a wonderful tradition!
SOME FINAL WORDS:
This is now the third story of Harper's that I've read/listened to so I've become rather familiar with her writing style. She tends to write main characters that you can't help but to love and secondary characters that capture your heart. Her stories are fun, light and a bit enchanting. Plus her writing flows at a natural pace that pulls you into the story so subtly that you find yourself immersed in the tale right off the bat. Give her books a try. I can guarantee you won't be disappointed
ABOUT THE NARRATOR:
So can I just say how much I appreciate Beth Roeg's performances? She always seems to do an awesome job. Her pace is wonderful and I love her acting. I've heard better from her though so I'm giving her a four and a half for this one. I think she could have done a little better differentiating the male characters and her acting wasn't completely on point.
