Summary

Love and hate are not opposites, but sometimes they’re born from the same fire....

Sean: Soldiers die, that’s just how it goes. It’s different when it’s one of your brothers. Team Maelstrom, my team, was broken when we lost one of our own. And now we have to sit around Stateside while the men in charge figure out what to do with us. When they find a replacement, I immediately know it’s not going to work. I can’t deal with this pain in the ass. I want him gone. It looks like I’m stuck with him, but I don’t have to make it easy....

Aidan: I didn’t ask for this. I don’t want this. I’ve been thrown into this dysfunctional team with a team leader who’s out to get me. The guy’s an ass, and he’s driving me crazy. I can hardly think straight when I’m dealing with him. Then everything changes when he pins me to a wall and kisses me....

Before Sean and Aidan can figure out what to do about that kiss, Team Maelstrom is thrown from the frying pan into the freezer. Fear and peril changes people, but will it change these two hot military men enough to keep the team alive? Can they work things out between them and get everyone back home in one piece? And what about the future?

Trust Me, I Loved It

Romeo Alexander and John Harris created a great series to follow, can not wait for the rest of the series. Michael Ferraiuolo did an amazing job as always, nailed the voices for me.

Great enemy-to-lovers story and amazing narration

I had already read this story in ebook format, but the audio narration made the book even better: the tension between the main characters due to their 'I don' t want you here', and then the sexual tension feel even more real and very exciting.

Amazing audio, I would definitely listen to it again.

Good book

Hot army guys, even hotter kisses, and scorching hot sex? Yes, please. A little angsty, which I love, so I definitely recommend.

Sweet Heat

Such a great piece! I always love the characters Romeo and John bring to life in their stories. This series is an excellent one, and this installment fun and exciting. full of banter, spicy moments and relationship dynamics, this is another to add to your to be listened to list. And I mean like immediately. the main characters oozed chemistry and sexual tension from the very start. Romeo and John created a wonderful connection between them. As well as some twists and turns in the subplot , the plot was thick and heated. A great short listen! My favourite character had to be Aiden, so very relatable and endearing. Sean was that sweet hunky man you just love too, but Aiden was deep and thoughtful in so may ways. Michael is as always an excellent narrator and I can not get enough of him. He made everything about this story even better.

Hot

Short enemy to lovers story. It angts or comedy, but hot as hell. The se*ual tension was off the charts with this one. I do think they spent a lot of time in their own heads and the blurb kind of spoiled part of the story (they went on a mission only after 40% of the book). The team itself and the army were... Well, unbelievable. It throw me off a little off, but I could suspend my disbelief and carry on enjoying the novel.

What can I say about Michael Ferraiuolo... He is so amazing. It's difficult to find a voice actor who can do what he does. If a character is yawning, he yawns. If the character is laughing, he laughs. It's so perfect, I really love his narration.

I really enjoyed this.

Michael Ferraiuolo is one of my favorite audiobook performers. He can make a less than stellar book shine. Fortunately, Trust Me, I Hate you was a good story to start with. I loved the different voices that Michael used in this story.

I’m not a huge fan of enemies to lovers, or hate sex, but this was a really good book. The sexual tension between Sean and Aidan was palpable. There’s just the right amount of angst for me in this story. While parts had me holding my breath, and others shedding a tear or two, I loved the found family aspect and the HFN that Sean and Aidan got.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.
