Summary
Love was a losing battle for this country music darling and a single dad, baseball star until one night brings them together and one small town sets the playing field for a possible winning streak.
They call me Lady Boss. Maneater. Queen. But beneath the makeup, blond wig, and glitzy costumes, I’m just a country girl who likes to sing. I don’t hate men, I’m just struggling to find a good one. I’ve learned my lesson. Fool me once, and it will never, ever happen again. So I’m baffled when I meet Ford Sylver.
A superstar in his own right as the centerfielder for the Chicago Anchors baseball team, plus a single dad to three adorable little girls, we share a moment when I save his firm backside and pretend he’s mine. Something that he can never be.
Only, when he suffers a season-changing injury and I need a place to disappear, we both end up back in Sterling Falls, where I’m suddenly his roommate. There’s danger in having a wild side. I’ll try anything once. However, forced into close quarters with Ford, acting as his personal nurse, and caring for his three little ones might backfire. Because I’m staring at all I ever wanted and never thought would happen for me.
After losing at love in the past, could I finally be on a winning streak?

Ford & Cadence!
Sterling Falls is a town I love to visit and Ford's story is so easy to fall into. Single dad, professional athlete meets his soon to be sister-in-law, Cadence, who is a famous country singer. But does he meet her through his brother? Of course not! Their meet cute says it all. Cadence is a caring woman, a little lost, and together, they may be on the path to happiness. Is it easy? No way! Ford is his worst enemy, and as he tries to balance his life as a new single dad, he knows getting involved with Cadence is not on the table. But she continually shows up just when he needs her. Coincidence? What about her career? This is a couple in the midst of a mess that just works. The scenes with the three kids are my favorite, each bringing a different side of Ford and Cadence out. Plus it's fun to see Sebastian and Knox stop by as well as Storm. This family is a blast and I can't wait for more.
The narration of this story brings it all to life. JF Harding is phenomenal as Ford, bringing out his competitiveness, his loving, sweetness and his spicy side all with the nuances in his voice. CJ Bloom is Cadence, and the woman is fantastic. She brings out not only low self esteem in her, but a totally selfless and compassionate woman. I love both of these narrators and was excited to hear them together, delivering an amazing performance.

Beautifully written, sweet, and heartwarming!
This is the third book in the Sterling Falls series, a small town romance. Ford and Cadence's story is beautifully written, sweet, passionate, heartwarming, and engaging. Ford is a baseball star, and single dad of three adorable daughters. He is very handsome, and caring. Cadence, a country music darling, is beautiful, smart, and supportive. They are perfect together. The supporting characters are great. It was great to see again Ford's brothers. I liked the family bond in the story. The scenes with the kids are so sweet, and heartwarming. J.F. Harding and CJ Bloom did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life. I enjoyed it.

Full of emotions
This was so full of emotions.
Noah Silver’s life recently went through some major upheaval, but a tiny bright spot may have come in the form of a new friend, but things aren’t all sunshine and roses.
There is a major connection between Noah and Kaydence, they have amazing chemistry and the snarky banter is epic.
But they are both going through a lot right now.
Kaydence is an amazing boss babe, and she knows her worth, she doesn’t stand for anyone mistreating her.
This is full of friendship, family, passion and forgiveness.
I loved all the sass and snark, I love how much Noah loves his girls and I adore how much they both fight for each other.

Ford & Cadence
Loved Cadence and Ford’s story. Because love doesn’t have to happen instantaneously, all the months they were apart allowed both of them to heal and make decisions with their had rather than their lust filled heart.
CJ Bloom and JF Harding were so good as Cadence and Ford. They are firm favorites for me.

Stellar listening
JF Harding and CJ Bloom did a phenomenal job narrating Ford and Cadence's book.
It was playful but slow-burning and full of forgiveness and family.

Sterling Streak: Sterling Falls Book 3
🎧🎧AUDIOBOOK REVIEW🎧🎧
4.5 >>I FELT EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME<< stars!
PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RATING: 5 Stars
Obviously, JF Harding & CJ Bloom were spectacular bringing this story to life for me. I have enjoyed them both tremendously in the past and knew I’d enjoy them this time as well. I will say that as a *team* I’m not sure I’ve listened to them before and they were even more outstanding together than they have been separately in the scope of what I have listened to, so there’s that plus plus! :) 👏🏻👏🏻round of applause to them both for a job well done!👏🏻👏🏻
STORY REVIEW & RATING: 4.5 Stars
Listen, I have said this over and over again about Dunbar, but it is worth repeating, over and over again. She is one of the very few authors out there that has mastered the art of later in life romances, and I would go as far as saying she is the best at this craft. #fightme
The story of Cadence and Ford was … hopeful. It was inspiring. It was one step forward, three steps back. It was uplifting and frustrating at times. It was complicated but so full of love and emotion that I felt every word, every circumstance, every up and every down. I felt this story.
I don’t need to tell you guys what the number one way a story becomes a 5-star read, right? Okay, I’ll tell you anyway. It doesn’t matter if a story (which I’m not saying this story had any of these) has overly dramatic shenanigans, unnecessary third-act break-ups or even adults not adulting properly, because if an author makes me feel a story from beginning to end, it is pretty hard to upset me with the aforementioned shenanigans. I gotta feel the story as if I was living it. That is a the most important criteria of a 5-star read. I’m rating this story 5 stars so …
I loved everything about the development of Cadence & Ford. Later in life stories are rarely easy. People come with baggage; that’s a guarantee. That makes the storyline complicated all on its own, without adding anything to it. But Dunbar can add toppings to any of her stories and end up with the most delicious sundae you’ve ever tasted. Every Single Time. She did it with Sterling Streak and I for one look forward to every single time she does it! Now, go do the thing. #trust
