About this listen

I love love.

I believe that everyone is destined to find their one true love, their happily ever after. That’s why I run a relationship advice column to help those who need a little guidance. Granted, I’m by no means an expert, but it is my favorite subject, and I’ve spent plenty of years studying it as I’ve watched others fall in love.

I know my true love is out there, just waiting for me to find them. In the meantime, I’m enjoying my life, running a fun little coffee shop in Whiskey Mountain, and chasing around a panty-eating turtle—don’t ask.

But all of that comes to a screeching halt when a cup of tall, dark, and grumpy comes to town. All of the women are obsessed with the sexy new stranger, and I can’t deny I haven’t noticed how attractive he is. But when you add in his gruff exterior and the way he rejects my recommendations every time he orders his coffee black, I can’t seem to think straight when he’s around.

Owen is the complete opposite of me. I love love, he wants nothing to do with it. I’m young and carefree, he’s older and more rigid. I like flavored coffee, he likes the bitterness of it plain. We’re so different that it feels like we have absolutely nothing in common. But when he starts to drop his wall and let me in, that makes me question everything I thought I knew about him.

At the end of the day, he’s made it clear that love is not in the cards for him. I know that I should walk away and keep looking for someone who wants what I want, but there’s a chemistry between us that I’m curious to explore. Helping people find love has always been what I’ve done best, but this time, I might’ve finally met my match.

Amazing opposites attract and age gap love.

Samantha Baca is a new author to me and I had the opportunity to listen to this book in Audio..and I am so glad that I did...because I really loved listening to this story.
I have been so impressed by Samantha's writing and narrator Jaime Carnucci's narration....Jaime portrayed ALL the characters in this story and she did an excellent job at expressing her voice and changing it to fit different characters...I enjoyed listening to her voice.
Something To Talk About is an age gap, grumpy sunshine kind of book..because Maggie and Owen are opposites but there is a spark between them that can't be denied.
Whiskey Mountain is a small town(I Love small towns)..everyone knows everyone and there is very little you can keep a secret.
Maggie owns the coffee shop and writes a blog which includes giving advice on love to people who write to the blog...she is like a ray of sunshine and believes in love and she really loves helping people solve their love dilema's.
Owen is new in town and his stay is only temporary he is there to improve development in Whiskey Mountain..so he is there for work for the time being until he can go back to New York...He is a bit grumpy and jaded he doesn't believe in true love after being hurt badly in the past.He is afraid of commitment but there is just something about Maggie that he is drawn to,but she is too young for him there is 12 years between them so he tries to avoid being in her company.
But fate has other ideas and they seem to be in eachothers space alot, could these two ever be on the same page for a chance of a relationship.?
This is such a refreshing feel good story that will make you smile, laugh and swoon in equal measure..there are some funny moments and I loved the animals in this book Leeroy and Pablo are hilarious.
Listening to this book was such a delight,it is funny, sweet, entertaining and sexy it was a pleasure to listen to...I am definately going to read/listen to Samantha Baca's books again.
A Wonderful story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Let’s talk romance

I’m quite used to dual narration now but I think the narration was good even with just one voice. The story is light and fun with quirky animals and a very interesting heroine. She’s not only running a coffee shop but is also writing a blog about love. She knows and values herself and won’t settle. The instant chemistry between her and the new man in town is scorching and the rest you will have to listen to find out. I enjoyed this story.
