About this listen

"Just because you can't explain it, doesn't mean it's a miracle."

Religion is a controversial business in the Discworld. Everyone has their own opinion, and indeed their own gods - who come in all shapes and sizes. In such a competitive environment, there is a pressing need to make one's presence felt. And it's certainly not remotely helpful to be reduced to be appearing in the form of a tortoise, a manifestation far below god-like status in anyone's book. In such instances, you need an acolyte, and fast - preferably one who won't ask too many questions.

Critic reviews

"Deftly weaves themes of forgiveness, belief, and spiritual regeneration....While other writers gnaw at violence, sexuality, and rootless despair." ( The Times)

The Discworld

I absolutely love Terry Prachett! Ever since I was little the discworld has been my go to series. I love Tony Robinson and him reading this is just brilliant. The Discworld series helps me sleep at night. Small Gods was one that I haven't heard very often but I love the fact it surrounds a small turtle. Terry Prachett and Tony Robinson are a fantastic combination.

Love it

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love this book - I honestly believe this is one of the best this series. Very interesting look into how are we creating believes. And what can happened even to the best intentions. If you're not comfortable about philosophy and religion but would like to find out more - this book is a great start.

Abridged without including in details

And awful overdone narration…
And I very much like Pratchett - with the earlier narrator(s) as good as it gets.
