About this listen

For Rebecca Bloomwood, life is peachy. She has a job on morning TV, telling people how to manage their money, a subject on which she is an expert. Her bank manager is actually being nice to her, despite being just a tad overdrawn. And the icing on the brioche is that her boyfriend is moving to New York, and has asked her to go with him. New York! The Museum of Modern Art! The Guggenheim! The Metropolitan Opera House! And Becky does mean to go to all these. Honestly. It's just that it seems silly not to check out a few other places first. Like Bloomingdales. And Saks. And that amusing little place she's been told about where you can sometimes get a Prada dress for $10. Or was it $100? Anyway, it's full of fantastic bargains. Shopaholic Abroad, because there just aren't enough shops in Britain.

This book is also known as Shopaholic Takes Manhattan.

Awesome

Another awesome book, just very disappointed it was so short and that the next few are so short too, so not sure whether to get the rest of the series, as using a credit on just over a 3 hour book or one of 12/13 hours is a massive difference. Just would have been amazing if it was as detailed as the first book, felt very rushed, but Sophie is still in my top 5 authors

Abridged

It’s a really shame this has been abridged. A lot of the book had been cut out.

This was so short!

This book was a bit of a waste of money as it was abridged so much. The first book was 11 hours long, this was 3 hours long! So much was missing, I felt cheated and shan’t bother buying any of the later ones as these have been abridged too. Emilia Fox is brilliant though

Too short

Loved reading the books, and am enjoying listening to them this time round, but not at all in favour of all these abridged versions. £8.99 for just over 3 hrs when you can get a full-length 11hr Sophie Kinsella story for the same price? Not good value for money and sadly spoils the enjoyment of the story as so much is cut out. Either offer these abridged versions at a discounted rate or (preferably) stick to the full versions!
