About this listen
When had life stopped being so simple? Probably around the time that Casey Frost first agreed to pay off her drug-addict brother's debt to save him from a brutal beating. It soon became a "thing". When the dealer - who's also an Alpha shifter - demands she do something that goes against her very being, Casey decides enough is enough. It's while she's confronting the Alpha that he appears - Eli Axton, a ruthless wolf shifter with a dark reputation. When their eyes lock and the mating urge violently kicks in, she knows her world is about to change.
The last unmated male in his pack, Eli feels weary and alone. Seeing his friends so happy makes the head enforcer acutely feel the absence of his true mate. He wouldn't have expected to find her in the parking lot of a shifter fight club or for her to be such an unusual breed of shifter. Certain the female enforcer belongs to him, he doesn't hesitate to claim her. Not everyone is happy to see Casey mated, though. Soon, danger is coming at them from different angles, threatening the life they're trying to build. Their enemy needs to be eradicated fast. But how did you destroy an enemy when you weren't sure who they were?
Contains mature themes.

Excellent book
The last of the series does not disappoint. Author continues to write a great story as usual mixing the action, drama, sex, romance and dialogue to produce an excellent escape for shifter fans.

Loved it !
I absolutely loved this series, I love the sense of community that the author created in them. A bonus was the fact that all the female leads were strong and independent. 5 stars

Love this series!
Cracking characters. Especially love the mink and pallas cat! Their interactions are so funny and the narrator makes it very easy to visualise the scene playing out! My fav has to be the mink and cat 'playing nicely' with their catches! Sick? Yes! But also very funny and poor Bracken gets the brunt of it all. Would love to see what happens between Cassidy and Cane?! X

A perfect ending to the series
I really like this book a super ending to the series, Love the Minks, sexy and vicious, the usual mix of humour, drama and erotica but very well told. The narrator is perfect as with all of the other books highly recommended

Good read with funny elements
Ok so this book is apparently part of a series. Liked it as a standalone just fine though. The lead characters are fun and I like that their relationship is a mature accepting one where they more find them selves in it than pine after each other being to proud to say how they feel. Love the mfc is a badass mink shifter. And the way the minks are portrayed as psycho killers is f*ing hilarious. Combine that with bad influences over a certain palace cat and it’s just lol gold. 😁 the one thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way was the mfc described quirk of spouting innuendos. It disappeared and reappeared throughout the story which made it feel forgotten and overlooked and when it made an appearance it felt far fetched and not that funny, and I’m the innuendo finding queen so that could have been made better. Aside from that I liked the book and smiled big even sometimes laughed out loud while listening. Aeration was great too especially the male voice impersonations that felt really natural and spot on.

Shards of Frost
Eli feels he is never going to find his mate, and although he hangs out at a fight club which is the last place he will find her. Casey has trouble on her heals and Eli wants to help when they find they are mates, surprised by this they find they have more in common than just fighting. Read brilliantly again by Jill Redfield.

Familiar story and characters
After 8 Phoenix pack and 4 Mercury pack books the formula is well established and its a return to the world of characters we all know and love. Familiar boy meets girl, lots of sex and a fair amount of action. As usual someone has it in for our happy couple and sets out to ruin their happiness.. If you've liked the rest there is no reason not to like this one either.
Some cringeful descriptions of soccer games aside - you cant be awarded a penalty kick for a foul after you just scored- its a good yarn and I think brings the mainstream Mercury pack series to a close with all now happily paired off.
Jill Redfield provides her normal excellent narration.
Whats not to like.
