Summary

Things are about to go viral in Marc Dane's most dangerous adventure yet....

Marc and his partner - former US Delta Force sniper Lucy Keyes - are pitted against their most terrifying challenge yet when a genius bio-researcher with the ability to create a deadly biological weapon is kidnapped by a ruthless terrorist.

Their desperate search for the missing scientist takes them across the world, from the desolate wilderness of Iceland to the slums of the Near East and the dark underbelly of a fracturing Europe, where they will discover a shocking atrocity in the making.

Backed by shadowy interests, a cadre of hardline ultra-right-wing extremists plan to unleash a lethal virus among the population of a major European city.

Only Marc Dane can prevent this devastating attack from taking place - before a whole continent is plunged into terror....

Another excellent Marc Dane book

These fast action stories by James Swallow are excellent. They just keep to the believable side of outrageous. I enjoyed every aspect of the audiobook except the pronunciations of various French items. Grand Place should be as a French or Belgian would pronounce it, not as an Englishman with no knowledge of French would say it. Other than that it was a great story to read and listen to (I read part of it and listened to part of it). I looking forward to no. 5.

Can't stop listening!

Brilliant Thriller masterminded by the imaginative fantasy of the author's brain. Story unveils to a spooky similarity of today's pandemic. The narration by Colin Mace, with his ability to act out all the many characters, really makes this book a first class listen.

Another great story

I have listened to all four books back-to-back and thoroughly enjoyed all four. this time the bad guys are even worse than the previous ones. The thrills and spills are just as exciting and the narration is terrific. What's next?

Cant wait for book 5!

Book 4 in the Mark Dane series doesn’t disappoint, far from it! Colin Mace makes every word believable and the plot is almost too real for comfort.

A high tech extravaganza

The fourth in the Marc Dane series, this book again sees Marc and his sidekick Lucy battling the bad guys in a high tech and highly dangerous extravaganza. Fast paced and technical, you need to concentrate to keep up with their escapades, and while I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the previous three, it’s still a solid, tense adventure story.

Incredible (i.e. unbelievable) rubbish plot.

Struggle as I might, I could not finish this and finally stopped inflicting it on my ears with about an hour still to go . I enjoyed the earlier works in this series, but not this. I found myself wishing that someone would kill the self righteous hero and heroine, and put them out of my misery. They seem to have become invincible two dimensional "boy's own" characters, overcoming all odds, and propelled by a simplistic conviction that their beliefs and moral codes are correct and beyond any doubt. Yuck!. I was very disappointed by this. On the bright side, the performance , was excellent.
