Blake Taylor isn't the queen of horror, but she's certainly a member of the royal court. Blake has made a career out of writing novels that make her readers want to leave the lights on at night. What Blake's fans and very few people realize is that Blake Taylor is scared of her own shadow and just about everything else. After a family intervention, a case of writer's block, and the desire to be free of the confines of fear, she leaves New York and rents a house in Cypress Glade, Louisiana.
Quinn Scott, a local, is hired by Blake's agent to be a tour guide of sorts for her most famous and troublesome client. The job seems simple for a thousand bucks a month, but as she gets to know Blake, it's anything but easy. Birds, squirrels, broccoli, and dogs are fearsome creatures.
Find a comfortable spot, visit Cypress Glade, and watch as these two women learn to conquer fears that don't always go bump in the night. Be warned, a few feathers may fly....

Another great one from Robin Alexander
I love this woman's warm and humerous writing and I listen to her books with a smile on my lips, while a chuckle is nearby. RA's lightness of touch and the worlds she creates, where good people come out on top and kindness prevails, soothes my soul which is deeply troubled by today's world. Her books are like having a rest, a little holiday from harsh reality.
Lori Prince, who seems to narrated most of RA's books, does a reasonable job but sadly her narration is lacking here. She is pleasant to listen to and does a great job at conveying humour but it's a real shame she doesn't do a better, and wider, range of Southern accents. To my British ears what she does do sounds very stereotyped. All, or at least most, of RA's books are set in the Southern US and appropriate accents would enhance the storylines by conveying more of the Southern atmosphere along with the feisty, quirky nature of many of the characters. Mostly I Iove LP's work but unfortunately I don't think she's the narrator to bring the best out of RA's books.

Laugh out loud
Another triumph for Robin Alexander. Great MCs and supporting characters that make you want to meet them, laugh, love and eve punch some of them…lol
Lori Prince did a wonderful job with the narration.

Good fun
genuinely funny in places , Blake's fight with the chicken made me laugh out loud. definitely one to listen to again and again.
Lori Prince gives a stellar performance.

wonderful
a horror writer who's scared witless omg it sounds to ridiculous but again this author has me in stiches fabulous plot fabulous characters ( love the brother I want one) the narrator as ever perfect.

Entertaining
I’ve really enjoyed this book and have listened to it a few times, it has a good story line and made me laugh so much. Would totally recommend it.

Absolutely Wonderful!
This book is definitely on my top 3 fav! Robin Alexander has become one of my most favourite authors rapidly. The lovely narration by Lori Prince just accentuates this amazing story even more.

Absolutely fantastic. LOL😆
I Loved this audio book, it was an exceptional storyline. I laughed out loud and felt sad the next, then I fell into the romance with a smile.
Lori Prince was exceptional, brilliant and captivating. She told this story with such skilled narration that I loved it more and more.

very enjoyable and recommend this book
this is my first Robin Alexander book and I thoroughly enjoyed it . it was funny is parts and poignant In others and the two main characters bounced off each other perfectly
