About this listen
Idyllic, quaint, and straight out of a Norman Rockwell painting is St. Claire, Louisiana—at least on the outside. Beneath the veneer, it's anything but. That's the secret of St. Claire.
Born and raised in St. Claire, Lindsay Juneau's life was seemingly full raising a six-year-old daughter and caring for her widowed mother. Of course, things aren't always what they seem, and the newest resident of St. Claire isn't buying the ruse.
Veterinarian Nicole Allen is looking for something different. She finds it in St. Claire with its hypochondriac rabbits, shotgun-toting shut-ins, and eclectic mix of people. The most alluring, though, is a woman who's also looking for something different.

Such romcom perfection
Once again, RA gives us a funny, sweet, sexy story full of life and rich characters and secrets. LP is also brilliant as per usual. Wonderful, can't get enough of this narrator/author combo x

Heartwarming and full of humour
I always enjoy Robin Alexander's writing and imo this is one of her best. I enjoyed that she made me laugh, but more than that, it is a beautifully simple story tenderly told. Lori Prince's excellent narration brings out all the humour and emotion between the characters. That this novel involves older aged characters and a seven year old girl, instead of the usual twenty and thirty something age group depicted in most f/f fiction, was refreshing and made this audiobook more relatable to me. This is definitely one to go into my favorites folder.

Robin Alexander’s book are great
I do love the light hearted but warm hearted style of Robin Alexander’s books. The quirky characters are such a pleasure and I come back to each of her books (though The Trip is my favourite) when I want a laugh and feel good moment. The ‘caring for her widowed mother’ in the title details is misleading as it implies Rose is unwell - not the case.
