Summary
Nell has come to feel very at home in her beautiful corner of Wiltshire with her partner, Angus. What she could do with, however, is a challenge, and the prospect of bringing life back to an abandoned row of houses, Saffron Lane, is just what she’s looking for.
Stacy, lost and alone after a divorce she didn’t see coming, is trying her best to start over. And Elise, battling her nieces who would force her into residential care, longs for a home where she can get back to her painting.
When their paths cross, the future starts to look brighter - although not all goes according to plan.

Quite enjoyable
But slightly far fetched. The inclusion of family ghosts speaking to one of the characters made me wince a bit. I know some people believe in this but it made me uncomfortable. Not enough to spoil the book though.

Oh dear.....
I love Anna Jacobs for an easy listen at bed time, but the narrator Penelope Freeman’s reading was so downbeat that it completely ruined this series for me. Such a shame, because the stories are uplifting! But I just couldn’t handle any more depressing delivery, so had to abandon half way through. Thank goodness most of Anna Jacobs books are read by Anne Dover

Involves Ghosts
I returned this book after listening for a short way. I agree with another reviewer there should be a warning of ghosts etc. I don’t want demons in my house.
