Hide and seek.
Undaunted by a confused dislike of the previous short (about 30 mins) in this series, and given that this story had a different narrator with Ginger Sue, this reader decided to listen to 'Punished by Silence'. The main character is no longer a teenager and is now a detective, but she is influence by her past in the case in which she becomes involved.
It still reads like a poor movie script dialogue, but the narrator is much easier on the ear (although, once again, the playback was speeded up to 1.75 as her delivery was slow).
Good idea, badly executed.
My thanks to the rights holder who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy.
