About this listen
Can learning another language be as easy as speaking your own? Yes - with Pimsleur it’s that easy. Learn on your own time, at your own pace, and wherever you choose. Italian Level 1 Lessons 21-25 builds on material taught in prior lessons. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Each lesson contains practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension and on learning to speak Italian. Some of these lessons contain reading lessons designed to teach you to sound out words with correct pronunciation and accent. A reading booklet to be used with the audio lessons is also included in PDF format.

Still going strong!
This is the fifth of six downloads in Unit 1. I have progressed from 'me' and 'you' to 'we' and 'ours'. A bit scary at first but the more I listened to the module, the more I calmed down and then I 'got it'. I still have to listen to each module six or eight times but I am holding the words. This is certainly the best way for me to learn. I listen going to and from work and sometimes at the weekend, I listen to each module all the way through the unit - a sort of roundup. In fact, that might be the only improvement I could suggest to Pimsleur, that they simply do a roundup, each phase once only, at the end of the unit. I am so pleased with what I have achieved - I am off to Italy for a holiday - to practise what I have learned!
