a great foundation

I appreciate the foundation that this helps me have in parenting and all of the different contexts/examples of so many different insights. They're even divided into different stages/ages so I find that helpful so I can prepare for down the line, thank you!

Much needed in my home

I think learning about emotional intelligence has been the single most best thing I've learned in the past decade of life. Who knew how life changing it would be, and teaching it to kids and family is exactly what we need to do to have understanding and wholesome growth happen in the home.

inspired and empowered

What really resonated with me was the authenticity of not hiding how one feels in front of the children and giving them free rein to express themselves, which is sometimes very difficult to do in real life but is so vital for their development. The balance that this book is able to hit between theory and practical advice facilitates an easy path toward envisioning the putting into place such strategies in your daily life. By the close of the chapters, I thus felt that there was not only one thing-new understanding of child psychology-but also a methodological way towards a more nurturing-enabling home ambiance. This therefore made me read through this indeed useful guide-motivated-to enhance my association with my sons and to try to help them nurture emotionally. It is most definitely a resource that I will refer back to during my ups and downs in parenting.
